The Combidrive MO is a cold rolling line with single horizontal drawing capstan for the production of smooth and ribbed wires in bars from Ø 4 to Ø 12 mm. This cold drawing line is completely modular and the rolling process is made through drawing capstan and rollers cassettes for rolling/profiling. Driven by electric asynchronous servomotors digitally controlled. Wire is rolled to reduce the section and if necessary ribbed, then straightened and cut according to the different lengths scheduled. The wire pointing machines Mod. AT are utilized for executing the pointing operation on the wire, by rolling, before its introduction into the drawing die. Tecno Impianti designs and manufacture 9 models of wire pointing machines, which cover a range of wire diameters from 1,0 to 20,0 mm. Machines from Mod. AT/3 up to Mod. AT/10 are equipped with two horizontal rolling cylinders. The models AT/16 and AT/20 have two horizontal and two vertical rolling cylinders. The wire pointing machine Mod. AT/14 can be supplied either with two rolling cylinders and with four.All the models can be supplied installed on a movable carriage or on a fixed base.

Tecno Impianti designs and manufactures a reel tilting unit with hydraulic command Mod. RR (maximum reel weight 3 Tons), which is installed on cold rolling lines where the wire is taken-up on horizontal spoolers. The tilting unit is utilized for bringing the reels in vertical position.

GENERAL OPERATION The machine is built-up of a rotating plate and a knot device that allow to create the requested wire ties. When the cycle is running, the pinch roll insert the wire in the machine and the rotating plate starts to rotate creating the wire ties. The crossed ends of the wire are held together and twisted by rotation of the gripper. AUTOMATIC CYCLE When the operator press the “start” button, the automatic cycle command is sent to the machine. This signal allow to insert the wire into the rotating plate following the sequence below: - Realignment and lifting of the twister. - Realignment of the wire step cylinder. - Closing of the pinch roll. - Moving forward of the puller. - Insertion of the wire by means of forward rotation of the pinch roll. When the twister is in high position, the puller is moved forward, in order to pull out the wire ties. With a time delay, the machine starts a new tying cycle (according to the number of the ties set in the operator’s panel).
