M.E.G.A.’s forging and heattreatment division is capable of forging fittings (in a closed die) up to 4” 16 kg. The heat treatment furnaces and tanks are all certified to Norsok M650 and ASTM A991 standards and can treat any product that M.E.G.A. produces (large and small forgings, pipes and any other type of part).

Our designs are supported by Finite Element Analysis and mathematical design calculations. They are also done to international standards, such as ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ASME B&PV Code Section I, Section III, Section VIII Division 1 and Division 2, PED, RCCM, EN 13480 and EN 10253. Other aspects such as corrosion tolerance, fatigue and piggability can also be assessed and analysed.

M.E.G.A. S.p.A. has always stood out for its multitechnological capabilities and highperformance manufacturing, efficiently and flexibly carrying out the entire production cycle of each pipe, starting from forging through to the final testing phase and any inherent certification. Thanks to continuous investments in new technologies, M.E.G.A. is able to obtain seamless pipes from a forged bar up to 11,000 mm in length and 1,400 mm in outside diameter. The special machining process enables M.E.G.A. to produce special seamless SMLS pipes as thin as 20mm (depending on the other dimensions) as well as large diameters. Pipes can be manufactured from carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex and superduplex stainless steel, and can be plated with CRA material (typically UNS N06625 or 316L) to ensure corrosion resistance. DSS and SDSS pipes can be produced to be Norsok M650 compliant.

2” filler neck male threaded, to be screwed, welded on tanks or connected to filling flexible pipes for fuel, hydraulic oil and other fluids. It is available in different lengths, materials and types. On request we can supply versions with removable or fixed filter, vent/breather connection or complete filling systems with flexible pipes. 2″ threaded filler neck can be combined with our niches 60 F series, our threaded caps ALU and ASM.CF or our mechanical threaded level gauge cap. It can be used in various sectors, including nautical applications and corrosive environments for which we suggest stainless steel versions. The adoption of accurate production processes also performed with latest generation CNC numerical control machines and the use of selected raw materials, are the first guarantee of quality and reliability over time of our product.

Tailpipe Small is the new series, ideal for those who do not want to miss out on the opportunity to have a high-status exhaust pipe, but at a more affordable price. The design of the model is exactly the same as the standard range as well as the diameter; the difference is all in the length that goes from the typical 130 mm to 90 mm (from 145 to 100 mm in the case of the Future model). A restyling that makes the end cost more affordable and resolves the application problem in certain vehicles in which there is not enough space between the bumper and the muffler.
