The use of the sealed rivet is recommended when the liquid seal is needed through the thicknesses to be fastened. Due to this particular feature, it is extremely important the precision of the hole and the finish of the surfaces. Otherwise it is recommended to put a gasket under the rivet head.

Its particular shape, together with the presence of the portion of spindle along the entire rivet body, allows the use on soft and/or fragile materials, such as plastic, composites and aluminium even on thin thickness, which requires high mechanical strength. Fields of application: photovoltaic systems, plastic assemblies in the automotive industry, construction industry and shipbuilding. The rivets is supplied with a neoprene gasket housed under the head of the rivet body.

The grooved rivet is mainly used in the building field. The grooving on the rivet body allows to increase considerably the grip between rivet body and material thickness. It guarantees a good fixing of the two components even if inside dead holes.
