Bleed air is high temperature, high pressure air taken from the jet engine and fed into various areas of the plane to be used for things like de-icing and cabin pressurization. We use high performance materials such as Alloy 321 stainless steel and Inconel 625 and 718 for applications that deal with extreme temperatures.
