In our production program there are two types of gears: straight with a maximum diameter of 4000 mm and bevel with a maximum diameter of 750 mm. Our many years of experience in the production of gears guarantees high quality gears.

High quality lapped Gleason gears that exceed the expectations of the most demanding customers are well within the capability of ITALGEAR who will implement their long developed experience in the field and develop the most effective Tooth Contact Area and motion curves of the bevel gear resulting into high precision and low noise in operation. Specific software such as CAGE and Kimos are used as well as strict controls of all the production steps are applied in order to replicate precisely the mathematical model of the tooth profile (software such as GAGE and Komet are used). The use of modern Gleason Phoenix CNC gear cutting machines and Klingelnberg and Remaut CNC lapping machines with a 100% gear final check in combination with vibration analysis, allow to obtain highquality lapped Gleason gears that will satisfy the most demanding customers

Carbideline consists of CarbideLine-S solid carbide tools, CarbideLine-H hybrid tools and multi-part carbide tooling with CarbideLine-I indexable carbide tools. All CarbideLine tools excel through maximum productivity in their specific fields of application. CarbideLine-H tools are a new addition to the product range. They cover the module range 5 to 12 and are the 1st. choice for rough machining and finishing large lot sizes, where the tools costs using solid carbide milling cutters are too high and the gear cutting quality is too low using indexable inserts. CarbideLine-H tools are also highly suitable for machining high-strength materials up to 1,400 N/mm2 and enable a gear quality up to quality grade AAA. Its preferred area of application is for gears for commercial vehicles, general mechanical engineering and energy technology. In one specific application it was possible to reduce the gearing costs per wheel by 20% with the CarbideLine-H compared with an indexable insert system.

Beside the non-dressable CBN grinding tools, dressable grinding tools of leading manufacturers can be used on our machines, too. Vitrified bond aluminium oxide tools are dominant. Sintered aluminium oxide is preferred as the grinding tool for grinding of steel due to its resilience and grinding capability. Gray cast-iron can also be processed with normal aluminium oxide. The profiling of the grinding tools takes place via a machine-integrated CNC dressing unit. A diamond-plated, rotating dressing tool profiles the wheel in accordance with the respective gear parameters. The grinding tool is conditioned specifically for rough or finish grinding by selecting respective technological dressing parameters. Form consistency and cutting capacity of the grinding wheel is assured by repeated dressings, dependent on pre-defined stock removal rates. We offer planetary gearboxes with varied backlash degrees such as normal (only needs torque output), precision (max backlash 13 or 15 arcmins), high precision (max backlash 8 or 9 arcmins), and super-high precision (max backlash 4 or 5 arcmins).
