Spirit levels, also known as bubble levels, are tools used to determine whether a surface or object is level or plumb. They consist of a long, straight, and usually rectangular body with a transparent vial containing a liquid and an air bubble. The vial is carefully calibrated to indicate when the surface or object is perfectly level or plumb. The liquid inside the vial is typically a colored spirit, such as ethanol or mineral spirits, hence the name "spirit level." The air bubble within the vial moves based on the tilt of the level. When the bubble is centered between two marked lines or within a designated area, it indicates that the surface is level or plumb. Spirit levels come in various sizes, from small pocket-sized versions to larger levels used in construction and carpentry. They may have one or multiple vials, allowing for different orientations, such as horizontal, vertical, and sometimes even diagonal or angular measurements.

This leaves the other hand free to take samples. Liquid/condensate in the lid runs into a collecting channel integrated in the lid, nothing is lost, nothing can drip off. The sample boxes are closed while hot during production. Due to this process, the sample boxes close absolutely tightly, as the lid and box adapt optimally during the cooling process. The sample container made of PP is highly transparent, the contents of the container can be easily recognised.

This measuring instrument contains a small transparent vial partially filled with a usually yellow liquid. The liquid is often ethanol which does not freeze, even at low temperatures. An air bubble is located inside the vial. A spirit level has one or two tubes to measure horizontality or verticality. When the bubble is between the two lines, the level is perfect. The location of this air bubble is the main thing to check. It indicates whether the level is well positioned (flat or sloped).
