Bus curbstones play a central role in the design of barrier-free transportation facilities and have been specially developed for bus stops. The kerbstones for buses and streetcars can be easily combined and integrated with a suitable tactile concrete guidance system for the blind. The bus kerbs ensure an optimally coordinated height, which makes it possible to minimize the gap width between the vehicle and the kerb. This ensures step-free access for wheelchair users, people with walking disabilities and parents with baby carriages. Crossing kerbs with a built-in low ramp enable wheelchair users to cross streetcar tracks, roads or traffic lights.
