The WV58MR rotary encoder is a magnetic Safety rotary encoder with redundant position detection, custom-designed for use in mobile machines. It can be employed in safety-critical applications up to Performance Level PLd. Thanks to its particularly robust design of an optional redundant CANopen or CANopen Safety interface it is ideally suited for heavy-duty use in mobile machines.Combined with wire-actuated encoders, the WV58MR can als be used for reliable linear position monitoring. Absolute redundant safety rotary encoder. Interface CANopen Safety or CANopen redundant. Suitable for applications up to Performance Level PLd. Also available in a salt-spray resistant housing. High electro-magnetic compatibility. Available with special swing ring functionality.

While the conventional drives are dependent on an external controller unit, for the compact drives no additional controller is needed. The complete electrical parts, including the drive controller and encoder, are integrated on the motor board. Programming is done via standard PC using free software. The operation can be done without a PC, the created driving programs are stored in the compact drive and can be accessed via a separate input. The bus-compatible AP10 position indicator serves for monitored format adjustment in order to reduce setup times and enhance machine efficiency.Readability has been optimized to achieve intuitive user guidance.
