The MIM process allows us to manufacture metal parts of almost any shape using an injection molding process, as easily as though it were plastic! One of the most important application areas for electroplated layers is (cathodic) corrosion protection. By applying a metallic protective layer to components that are susceptible to corrosion or exposed to the weather, their lifespan can be significantly increased. In the area of corrosion protection, metals such as nickel, copper, chrome, and zinc are used, among others.

The GEMÜ 660 2/2-way diaphragm valve has a stainless steel piston actuator and is pneumatically operated. The valve was designed for dosing and filling a wide range of products. All metallic actuator components are made of stainless steel. Normally closed (NC), Normally open (NO) and Double acting (DA) control functions are available. Coating with a FreiLacke electrodeposition coating (EC) is the economical and environmentally-friendly method of protecting and embellishing metal substrates. The procedure is principally suitable for all conductive metals and alloys. The component to be coated can be connected either as a cathode (cathodic electrodeposition coating) or as an anode. Electrodeposition coating as a method of corrosion protection is used in the automotive industry as well as many other sectors. The EC method enables process recycling and can be fully automated.
