The Lutz-Jesco dry material feeders are precise and reliable devices for volumetric conveying of pourable substances. These devices consist of self-supporting welded constructions made of high-quality stainless steel sheet, which ensures their robustness and durability. Technical Information The pneumatic driven crimper is specifically desig­ned to crimp loose turned contacts. In the range of 0.08 up to 4 mm2 (AWG 28 – 12) wires and contacts can be crimped. A 4/8-indent crimp corresponding to SAE 22520 is standard. The crimping-depth can be adjusted manually in 10 µm steps. The machine is equipped with standard crimping tool kit, the crimper can be easily adapted to various contacts. Brackets for optimized infeed and centering of the wire are optionally available. The POWERTACK electrostatic ribbon tacking system is used in the folders of heatset web offset and publication gravure printing presses. Their task is to electrostatically block the incoming paper ribbons to prevent dog ears. This is a standard feature for new presses and available for retrofitting on all common heatset presses of the world. High voltage generators generate positive and negative high voltage which is passed on to the charging bars mounted in the folder. The positive and negative bars are arranged opposite each other. The ribbons pass between them. The resulting force causes the paper ribbons to attract each other, the air in between is displaced and the ribbons are pressed against each other. As a result, the press can run at a higher speed with better folder accuracy.
