High-speed thread cutting with reversing kinematics The new EWS Tapmatic thread cutting head for driven tools enables thread cutting processes without having to reverse the direction of rotation thanks to its reversing kinematics. This saves time and energy and protects the motor – all this with a defined depth of thread. The units are available for M3-M12 threads.

Compact and stable – this is EWS' new swivel head. The swivelling module, which is equipped with a Cylkro drive system, is 17 mm smaller than standard heads which, above all, offers greater flexibility in swivel ranges between 0° and 45° in the field of cutting tools. The swivel unit covers an angle of +/- 92°. During the swivelling process, the supply of coolant is directly carried along. A distance of at least 48 mm from the contact surface to the swivel axis can be proposed. Even a high-pressure interior cooling system of up to 70 bar can be built into the module without the exterior dimensions having to be modified. Rotational speed limit is 6,000 1/min, maximum transmittable torque is 16 Nm, and max. cutting tool diameter is restricted to 10 mm. The swivel head is mainly suitable for drilling or for simple machining tasks. EWS' TWK range is available. for greater demands with regard to torque and performance.

More space to work – let the rods out! In particular applications, it can be necessary that the rod leaves the clamping head, e.g. for reasons of accessibility or restrictions regarding space that do not allow a rod that is permanently in place. Especially in applications where moulds are closed and kept closed against high forces with the SITEMA PowerStroke, it is a big advantage when the rod can leave the clamping head. Thus, the rods are no obstacle when taking finished parts out of the mould or when handling parts. With certain modifications, most of our series can be adapted as special designs to allow the rod leaving and re-entering the clamping head. EWS goes milling With its latest range of angular heads, EWS brings its trusted technology with new features to machining centres. In particular applications, it can be necessary to hold high axial forces and torque at the same time. For pneumatic operation, our Locking Unit series KFPD meets this demand. Depending in the size, forces / torques of 12 kN / 120 Nm or 30 kN / 500 Nm can be held securely. The “normal” SITEMA Locking Units KFH are already able to hold smaller torque. Example: 280 Nm with, at the same time, an axial holding force of 100 kN on rod diameter 56. In case higher torque needs to be held, SITEMA’s special design series KFHD can help. With this design, it is possible to hold torque with a factor of 10 higher compared to the standard KFH unit. Example: 2800 Nm with, at the same time, an axial holding force of 100 kN on rod diameter 56. Whether the operation is pneumatic or hydraulic, the application is limited to static holding. The KFPD and KFHD can prevent a rotation from starting, but are not suitable to brake rotating masses.

The horizontal main axis of the laser head permits endless movement, even during the rotary movement the axes below are permanently supplied with cooling water, process gases and all electrical signals. The clear aperture of the current laser swivel head SH35 is 35mm, the larger version SH60 is still available with a clear aperture of 60mm.

Pump F 430 PP 100/50 in polypropylene was designed for higher delivery pressure. Instead of a rotor, it is equipped with an impeller in a pump housing. In connection with the powerful FLUX motors the pump delivers a far higher pressure of over 3 bar compared to pumps with semi-axial rotors. This makes it especially convenient for conveying media out of e.g. IBCs and other containers into higher lying pipe systems or out of an IBC in the basement to a higher floor. The drill head for carcass sampling has a hexagonal socket for bit holders or chucks, suitable for all commonly used cordless screwdrivers or drilling machines. Meat sampler for microbiological sampling of carcass surfaces. Slaughtering businesses (slaughterhouses, butcher's shops, etc.) are obligated as part of operational process control and for monitoring of slaughter hygiene to conduct regular microbiological examinations of carcasses for cattle, hogs, sheep, goats and horses, etc. The samplers for carcass sampling are similar to a cork drill. They can be used in the punch process (a destructive process, also called the cork drill or excision process) to remove a circular sample of tissue of 5 cm² from the surface. After the punch sample is cut out, it is removed from the carcass with a scalpel and tweezers.

When using high-performance CO2 lasers for welding applications, metal mirrors are usually preferred for beam guidance. Depending on the desired application, the configuration of the machining head is composed of modular individual components according to customer requirements. The possibilities are almost unlimited, ranging from the simplest welding head to complex 3D machining heads. The FH40/C focusing heads are used for laser power up to 5 KW and raw beam diameters up to max. 30mm, the FH60 focusing head for laser power up to 15 KW and raw beam diameters up to max. 50mm. All optical units have connections for direct water cooling, are available with different coatings and are generally available from stock. In addition to the cross-jet for the efficient reduction of splashes and smell on the mirror optics, protective gas feeds with a lateral or coaxial flow direction are also offered for targeted coverage of the welding torch.

The laser cutting head FC4 is predominantly used in medium power lasers machines, impresses with its slim design and the related low weight. The use of a deformable (adaptive) mirror is of great importance in this case, since no motorized lens adjustment for focus adjustment is required any more. The focus adjustment via adaptive optics above the focusing lens is fast, reliable and precise. Focus positions for a wide variety of materials can be determined, stored in the machine CNC and called up for controlling the optics as desired. The dynamics of the adaptive optics are also clear when piercing the material before the beginning of the cut – for a full stroke, only 0.2 seconds are required. Especially when cutting thicker materials, the time saving can be considerable. The use of aspheric lenses guarantees the best optical properties; protective glass cassettes on both the collimation side and the pressure seal below the focusing lens protect the optics from contamination.

The laser cutting head FC1 is predominantly used in low to medium power lasers machines, impresses with its slim design and the related low weight. The technical design of the manual adjustment of the focus position is convincing by precision, the focus position can be precisely adjusted without tools via the generously dimensioned adjustment range of 20mm and can safely hold it without countering. The fast distance sensor allows precise control even when cutting the thinnest materials. Thus the FC1 offers excellent cutting performance at an interesting price.

This angle-design machine allows you to deburr holes in hard to reach areas, e.g. holes in cross holes, which have to be deburred from the inside.

Our top device when it comes to deburring in difficult-to-reach places, such as holes in cross holes. The height (excluding countersink) of the very low-wear drive head is just 15 mm and can, therefore, also reach very narrow places. The extremely quiet and light drive can be set from 0 to 900 RPM and has very low air consumption: 150 l/min.
