Special features of the Lipp welding technology are the automated on site construction of above the ground cylindrical tanks made of various grades of duplex steel, stainless steel and black steel. Moreover, the technology also incorporates the post treatment of the weld and a visualized welding monitoring and the technical documentation of the process. Due to the flexible and mobile concept of the equipment, the installation can either be done on greenfield construction sites but also inside buildings or in places with limited access and working space.

Programming is completely done in-house according to DIN EN 61131-3. The preferred programming languages used are either Siemens’ Step 7 or 3S’ CodeSys. The hardware depends on the application: it ranges from miniature control systems to computer solutions with connections to the office world in order to document the manufacturing process ideally. By working closely together with our customers we attain individual use of technological possibilities.

The mains-driven panel meter RM-32 provides a continuous and precise measurement of irradiance with preamplified UV sensors. The integrated electronics produce a signal voltage that is transmitted to the radiometer, so that inferences are minimized. Different UV and visible spectral ranges, measuring ranges, and output signals can be selected to match the measurement task. The current irradiance is shown on a 3.5-digit digital display. The lamp state with respect to two threshold values is indicated by LEDs. Two relay contacts can be used for switching warning and failure signals. With its optional USB, RS232 or RS485 interface the RM-32 can be used to monitor ultraviolet (UV) irradiance. It is our standard to realise each and every job with absolute perfection. For this reason, we perform a final quality check. Even in the case of regularly recurring orders, the correct standard is of course always retested. Each order includes the necessary accompanying documents along with the cylinder. These documents detail the individual processing steps and important operations. On request we will provide you a log of the work performed. The quality check entails the following steps: Inspection of the embossing using a sample from the cylinder Determination of the profile depth: Depth of the grid and the width of the web are measured with the latest technology. Final inspection of the cylinder for true-running and intact surface Proof: Print result of the cylinder is inspected on the proof press.
