EWS takes measures against vibrations in deep drilling procedures Deep drilling procedures with drilling rods with a long overhang are one of the most demanding tasks in cutting technologies. What influences vibration, what amplitudes does it create, what is the effect of superimposed vibration and when are uncontrollable resonances encountered? All these are questions that are difficult to answer using theory alone. These findings formed the basis for the new development of EWS Rigid. The objective was to create a drilling holder with a passive damping system to counteract the vibrations that are created. This involves using variable vibration dampers with linear degrees of freedom in a floating mounting inside the cutter carrier. The damper position is set using a radially mounted setscrew, which allows optimum vibration conditions to be created. The improvement in surface qualities of bores is significant, as is the increase in the service life of cutter tools.

The VISCOFLUX mobile S drum emptying system was specifically designed for use in pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics industries. It is perfectly suited for ensuring efficiency and process safety while pumping high viscosity, paste-like, non-self-flowing media out of diverse drums – either with or without aseptic bags. Media can be transferred low-shear and continously. The residual amount remaining in the drum is up to less than 1 %. The mobile drum emptying system offers a high degree of flexibility and can also be operated in wet or damp production environments. The system's stainless steel process device bears the protection class IP 66.

High braking torque and small installation space: The compact and powerful BFK464-R dual-circuit spring-applied brake from INTORQ does it economically. This brake works with a split armature plate and two independent coil circuits. It reliably complies with the legal requirements for redundancy, such as for use in passenger elevators. In addition to the reliable braking torque, the high switching dynamics add even more safety. Switching noises are kept to a minimum. This is achieved by the well-engineered damping system. Another plus is the compact design: The rotor neck only minimally protrudes into the motor bearing shield, and the gear teeth of the rotor are particularly short.
