Hugo Beck can claim a decade-long development tradition when it comes to automation. We offer support with our expertise throughout the entire automation process, from project planning and manufacture right through to integration into complex packaging lines. Handling systems such as portals, grouping solutions, stacking and counting devices, cross pusher to name but a few, are integrated reliably into the packaging solutions by our technicians. Furthermore, various robots systems are used across many industries for the automated feeding of products, helping to for example grip, position, stack, group, stage products. From a parallel robot (also known as a spider robot) all the way through to a SCARA robot – anything is flexibly possible and delivered fully integrated according to each customer‘s needs. Both robots and handling systems can all be purchased independently of Hugo Beck packaging machines.

A fully automated solution cannot manage without reliable automatic feeding and sorting equipment. In this area we cooperate with well-known manufacturers of vibration and handling elements. The automatic and semi-automatic solutions can also include camera sensors or smart cameras.

Magnetic motor feedback systems are proving themselves in numerous applications in linear drive technology, handling systems, circuit board assembly, robotics and in a wide range of automation solutions in the context of Industry 4.0. In all of these areas, the speed and/or position of a drive must be communicated to a main controller in real time. The ultra compact LEC100 and LEC200 sensor duo has been developed by SIKO for these requirements. Repeat accuracy max. ±1 μm. max. resolution 0.2 µm (LD output circuit). Reading distance ≤0.2 mm. The C 22 ensures the precise, cost effective and efficient production of parts. The numerous automation solutions enhance its range of application; individual configuration is easy thanks to the modular design. The Hermle engineers have essentially designed and created this machine with space in mind. With the most efficient footprint possible, the C 22 offers maximum efficiency. And it goes without saying that large components can be machined, too. Nonetheless, the C 22 is ultra compact and ensures the necessary clearance for 5-side/5-axis machining. Short process cycles, quick workflows and the highest possible machine dynamics: The C 22 is designed to machine complex geometries with high accuracy and small tolerances. The circular tool magazine is integrated into the base body of the machining centre and can house up to 65 cutters; additionally, it is possible – as with almost all HERMLE machining centres – to adjust the operating system to the user.

The ultrasonic actuators of the SLIMLINE product line are characterized by their extremely slim design and their large variant diversity. These ultrasonic actuator types are available in frequencies of 20, 30, and 35 kHz. A compact console structure, precise guiding systems and variable drive units are a solid basis for repeatable weld results. In combination with Herrmann weld process controls, the system is used for customized integration solutions in automation.

Wireless seonsoring systems from AMF: flexible, compact and economical. They enable fully automated production processes for clamping technology as well as for modern handling and storage systems. The system consists of sensors and transmitter units that are interlinked both with the gateway and recipient, which communicates wirelessly with the machine control by means of Bluetooth Low Energy.

Gripping technology from AMF: Inexpensive, efficient, safe High gripping force, Suitable for a diverse range of workpieces, Overload protection prevents damage, Combined application of different gripper types. The pneumatically driven gripper is available in different designs. The integrated self-resetting counterbalance elements facilitate the exact positioning of the unmachined parts or pre-cast parts and relieve the machine spindles. Our product range for low-cost automation with three different gripper elements is complete and even more flexible.

The In-Sight D900 is a smart camera powered by In-Sight ViDi software designed specifically to run deep learning applications. This embedded solution helps factory automation customers easily solve challenging industrial OCR, assembly verification, and random defect detection applications anywhere on the line that have gone uninspected because they are often too difficult to program with traditional, rule-based machine vision tools. In-Sight ViDi applications are deployed on the In-Sight D900 smart camera without the need for a PC, making deep learning technology accessible to non-programmers. It uses the familiar and easy-to-use In-Sight spreadsheet platform which simplifies application development and factory integration.

The SAS Standard Automatic Shuttering is as unique as the shuttering challenges of our customers. We cut the system precisely to your requirements. The SAS is suitable for robots and can be configured for each shuttering robot. This makes it the perfect shuttering solution for automated operation, particularly in circulation systems. With integrated magnetic components with a retaining force of 900 – 2100 kg, it reduces the shuttering work steps to mere positioning and activation of the magnets.
