In the process of treating waste water, fine biological sludge is constantly produced during the decomposition process at a sewage treatment plant. For a stable decomposition process in the biological treatment phase, the sludge produced in the secondary sedimentation pond, also known as excess sludge, is removed and fed into the digestion tower. Flottweg's OSE decanters thicken the sludge before it enters the digestion tower. Flottweg C series decanters around the world process 25 million liters of sewage sludge per hour. The dewatering and thickening of sewage sludge plays a decisive role in the wastewater treatment process. ALWA POR is porous and has a smooth surface structure. The product is characterized by a high stability, pressure-resistance and a long-term heat resistance of over 190°C. It is especially suitable for moulds with fine and complex structures. The good air permeability leads to a uniform stretching of the foil in the process of thermoforming. With this innovative product the annoying drilling of vacuum holes becomes obsolete and thus no visible markings are left on the thermoformed foil. The GasPro gas detector can be equipped with sensors for up to five gases with ATEX approval. With the option of equipping the gas detector individually with various sensors, the GasPro gas detector is ideal for use in sewers, sewage treatment plants, landfills, ships, chemical and oil processing industries. An important unique novelty "positive safety" display. The GasPro signals the status at a glance via a three-color LED, green display = everything OK, yellow display = still OK, but a check is due soon, red display = not OK Particularly noteworthy is the loud alarm at 95 db and the optical signaling indicated by two LEDs that can be recognized from each side. The measured gas concentrations are saved every 10 seconds and stored in the internal memory. In addition, various events (switching on, alarm, calibration) are stored in the memory. The collected data can be transferred to a PC with a USB cable. A charging station with interface or a calibration station are also available.

SMS offers sludge drying systems with horizontal thin film dryers for treatment of sludge from municipal as well as from industrial waste water treatment plants. Variations of this sludge treatment process are: Pre-drying up to 35 to 50 % dry solid content before incineration in fluidized bed incinerators 65 to 75 % dry solid content before combined incineration with garbage, composting or landfill Full drying up to 85 to 95 % before thermal utilization as bio-fuel for cement kilns, coal fired power stations, pyrolysis, gasification or other conversion processes before composting and agricultural usage as fertilizer and for soil reclamation In all these drying processes the thin film dryer is the first choice.

The O2-Log3050 is a data logger for dissolved oxygen and temperature. It measures the oxygen saturation level in the water and saves the readings to its internal memory. It also calculates the ppm and mg/l concentration and allows for user-friendly recalibration and changing of its O2 electrode. In combination with its automatic temperature compensation it is best suited for operation in lakes, rivers, in sewage-treatment plants or for monitoring transportation, e. g. of fish.

P-Sense transducers for pressure and temperature can be used both in air and in water or other fluids. Devices come with analog, digital or switching output and can be configured for absolute pressure or gauge pressure measurements. Potential fields of application are water level monitoring or fluid level measurements, e. g. in bodies of water, sewage treatment plants, storage tanks etc. The p-Sense320 probe can be fitted with an RS485 interface instead of an analog output which can optionally be connected to a computer using a RS232 adapter. Connection and data transfer to a PC/notebook can established with the Windows terminal.
