The wireSENSOR mechanics from Micro-Epsilon are designed for mounting of incremental and absolute encoders. They enable you to individually determine the interface, the resolution and the type of connection which can be adapted for further signal processing. High quality precision components and their robust design ensure high operational safety and a long service life even under harsh industrial conditions of use. For series applications involving a large number of pieces, we develop and manufacture tailor-made OEM designs.

Inductive sensors from Micro-Epsilon are based on the eddy current principle and designed for non-contact measurement of displacement, distance, position, oscillation and vibrations. They are particularly suitable when high precision is required in harsh industrial environments (pressure, dirt, temperature). Inductive sensors from Micro-Epsilon offer extremely precise measurements where sub-micron accuracy is required.

The turboSPEED DZ140 is designed for rotation speed measurements of turbochargers. The turbocharger rotation speed sensors are extremely compact and directly integrated in the turbocharger housing.

The reliability and safety of a sensor is extremely important, particularly in high-pressure applications such as water-jet cutting equipment and hydraulic circuits. The dynamic loading encountered in these applications requires the use of sensors that are specially adapted for high pressure ranges. It is exactly these tough requirements that are satisfied by the model number 8221 sensor. With dynamic pressures, for example, an unlimited number of measurements can be taken if the pressure lies within the range from 0 ... 70% full scale. As an angle sensor that is both accurate and economical, this rotary potentiometer is suitable for all types of analog angle measurement up to 350°. Typical fields of application include: —Position feedback in servo-systems —Pendulum weighing machines —Cam and butterfly flap positions —Jockey roller controllers —Measuring the tension of threads and tape —Trigonometric measurements at joints The heart of the potentiometric angular displacement sensors is an extremely precise, low-wear resistor track made of plastic. Due to its high resistance to abrasion, the sensors are particularly suitable for measurements for the purpose of quality assurance in ongoing production, where a long service life and large numbers of rotations are required. The potentiometric angular displacement sensor uses a multi-finger slider system with precious metal contacts. This ensures good contact even when moving at high speed and in the presence of vibrations.

In practice the requirement often arises to convert the measurement signals of a sensor into a standard signal in the simplest possible manner in the immediate proximity of the sensor. This permits trouble-free, low-loss transmission of measured values over longer distances to an instrument board or plant controls. Ideally suited for this purpose is the in-line measuring amplifier, which is inserted in between in the connection cable by means of plug contacts. Owing to its compact, robust design and low weight, it finds use in almost any application. Even movable locations subject to forces of acceleration, for example manipulators, present no problems. It is intended mainly for use of control cabinets in just about any location and is matched to a specific sensor. The aluminium housing is extremely sturdy and affords the greatest possible protection even in harsh environments.

The Intelligent Robot gripper RG2-FT is a modern gripper with additional sense of touch and intelligence. It has an integrated force/torque and proximity sensor for extremely precise automation. This enables real collaboration with human users and supports them like a helping hand. Insertion is faster and more precise. The dose controller UV-MAT continuously measures irradiances, calculates doses, and stops irradiation at the set target dose. Two spectral ranges can be separately controlled. Thus, UV-MAT ensures a constant dose independent from lamp aging, temperature, and pollution. The measurements are made with calibrated radiometric sensors. The built-in diffusers ensure the cosine correction that is required for non-vertical irradiation. The sensor contains an extremely precise analog-digital converter and a temperature sensor. The integrated diffuser ensures the required cosine correction. Excellent long-term stability is achieved through the use of appropriate materials. The sensors are calibrated with traceability to PTB (Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt, the German national test authority); after being calibrated, they are supplied with a factory calibration certificate.

For adhesive bonding and curing through UV radiation, LED spotlights and gas discharge lamps with liquid light guides, whose high irradiance enables curing and polymerization within seconds, are used. Exact measurements in order to monitor the irradiance and dose are required for the process control. Here, the UV sensor is exposed to the high irradiances and temperatures, which could lead to an impairment of the measurement results. The sensor series XT („eXtrem Temperature“) has been developed for this critical application. The XT sensors are suitable for up to 50.000 mW/cm² and operating temperatures of 150°C. At the same time, the XT sensors are compact and thus flexibly usable where needed. This is possible due to the separation of sensor-head and sensor-electronics. The XT sensor with its excellent cosine correction guides the light through a light guide into the calibrated sensor-electronic, which is integrated in the handpiece.

EGE amplifier for inductive proximity sensors complement the EGE sensors for extreme conditions from 200° C and the variants for -80° C. They are used for switching point adjustment and provide functional and output indications as well as the output signals. They also provide the 24 V DC power supply. The devices can be set up intuitively using a potentiometer. The analysis devices are suitable for top-hat rail assembly in a control cabinet. For 250° C-high temperature sensors a cable amplifier is available.

EGE amplifiers process the signals of the EGE filling level sensors for extreme temperatures at a safe distance and are used to set up the sensor via intuitive operation using potentiometer and LED strip. Amplifiers for EGE high temperature limit switches feature an auto-calibration of the switching point at the press of a button. EGE amplifiers provide switching signals or analogue signals, dependent on the device.

The AtmoProbe™ is an industrial atmosphere sensor that provides extremely accurate and repeatable measurements, and may be used in a variety of atmosphere measurement applications. The proprietary design of the AtmoProbe™ utilizes a 100% solid zirconia electrolyte sensor mounted within a solid zirconia seat. The solid slip-cast zirconia sensor eliminates seams and seals near the measurement point that typically cause offsets and premature failures of most oxygen probes. Furthermore, the unique secondary 100% zirconia seat serves as a shock absorber and provides an extremely robust mechanical design that can handle repeated temperature cycling and mechanical stresses without damage.

These valves fitted with microbatteries operate only after being actuated by an electrical impulse. This impulse is triggered by moving your hand in front of the sensor, which triggers the extremely robust pilot valve. After water has been dispensed, the valve returns to its inoperative position. This valve is characterized by robustness, durability and small size. Benefit The low power consumption by the impulse control is ideally suited for use in electronically controlled taps with battery operation. The valve is constructed entirely of water-approved materials and is certified according to KTW, W270, WRAS, ACS and NSF 61.

Speed sensors from Lenord+Bauer are particularly suited for continuous operation in durable capital goods thanks to the magnetic sensing principle. They detect rotational and linear motion. The sensors are protected against extreme weather conditions, humidity, shock, and vibration due to an encapsulation process and specially developed production methods. Thus they are in compliance with DIN EN 50155 and meet the requirements of protection class up to IP 68. Customised versions by adapting the housing, or different cable and plug fabrication, Lenord+Bauer can implement almost any installation position. Depending on requirement, the sensors generate single or multichannel squarewave signals alternatively as voltage or current signal ranging from 0 to 25 kHz. A standstill signal can also be implemented. On request ATEXprotected product variants, special output signals for functional testing, and sensors with integrated pulse division or pulse multiplication are available.
