CERTO® – The Leak-tight Thanks to their cup-shaped rivet sleeves, CERTO® sealing blind rivets are the specialists when it comes to liquid-tight riveting. Thanks to this special design, the breakstem is also captive. The rivet forms a smooth, burr-free blind head and is suitable for automatic riveting. Blind rivets are one of the most extensively used fasteners worldwide. An almost endless diversity of types, sizes and formats ensure solutions for all applications. For years, HONSEL has focused primarily on the manufacture of non-standard blind rivets.

The strong CERTO®-PERFECT special sealed blind rivet forms a large and smooth closing head by its special clamped rivet sleeve. This head makes sure that the danger of pull through in case of oversized bore holes can be reduced to a minimum. Additionally the tightness in standing water is increased significant.

Areas of application: G-Sealed can be used in many applications, but is particularly suitable for the automotive industry due to its excellent thermal and chemical resistance. Anti-corrosion flexible one-sided self-adhesive butyl sealing strip, made of highly elastic, synthetic rubber (butyl) of soft rubber-like texture. It adheres reliably without heating. The butyl sealing strip is driven apart by the contact pressure, but due to its elasticity and plastic properties it penetrates into the smallest joints and unevenness and thus provides an optimum sealing. It can be drawn out to wafer-thin films by hand. Even high contact pressure level is not able to destroy the film. Non-ageing, UV-resistant, watertight, non-shrink, tight towards water vapour, seawater resistant. A sealant between metal, wood, plastics, organic glass and silicate glass with and among each other. It seals rivet and screw joints, flanged and folded connections. Sealing between metals prevents galvanic /electrolytical corrosion. Does not corrode Plexiglas, metal, wood, oil- and synthetic resin paints and does not contain any corroding ingredients.
