The BTS 8101.EO O-frame is based on the combisensor principle. The system is equipped with a non-contact capacitive sensors and a Thrubeam sensor which are integrated in a traversing frame. The eddy current sensor measures the reference distance to the measurement roll‘s metal surface. The distance from the film surface is measured by the Thrubeam sensor. Together with the reference signal the film thickness is calculated. This combisensor principle allows extreme precise measurements.

The Leica EM RAPID milling system for pharmaceutical research enables sample preparation for analysis of active ingredient distribution on solid-dose pharmaceuticals. The instrument, using a tungsten carbide or diamond miller, decapsulates pills without smearing and features adjustable cutting speeds between 300 and 20,000 rpm, defined step-layer removal, low-noise extraction and filtration with a Hepa filter and single or multiple holders.

The optical contact angle meters of the OCA series are high-precision measuring systems for the characterisation of interfaces and surfaces. They combine high-resolution optics, pinpoint liquid dosing and precise sample positioning to create powerful, reliable measuring systems. The special model OCA 25-HTV is based on the OCA 25 standard model. It is suitable for measuring contact angles at high temperatures of up to 1800 °C and in a vacuum of up to 0.00001 mbar or in an inert gas atmosphere.
