Laser welding is a very gentle welding technique, as the heat input takes place in a locally very limited area. In this way, it is possible to reliably connect critical components with one another in a materially bonded manner, without the parts annealing. With laser welding, the two welding partners are joined together with as few gaps as possible in order to then weld them together (e.g. press-fit zones such as EloPin® puzzled at any feed or distance). The background to this is that no additional material is generally used in laser welding. The ALFlak systems offer you many options in the field of mobile laser and repair welding. With an extended range and increased travel range, welding positions in deep, complex shapes can be processed easily thanks to the long laser arm - even in deep, bulky shapes. Deposition welding with wire or powder is possible with this laser machine. Likewise, automated welding tasks. The laser device is equipped with a fiber source that guarantees high efficiency and a special beam quality. Both pulsed and CW mode can be used. The integrated performance monitoring ensures reproducible welds. This system is available with laser powers of 300/450/600 and 900 watts.

The rutile-basic-coated special-purpose electrode has a non-conductive and water-repellent coating for manual wet underwater welding. It is suited for assembly and repair welding in up to 20 m water depth for offshore and harbour construction, shipbuilding, and steel hydraulic engineering. High-quality welds require appropriate weld preparation, well-trained personnel, and compliance with recognised standards of good practice.
