We have developed a range of Mediprene thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) for plunger seals in single-use syringes. The TPE seal, which is mounted on the end of the plunger, needs to provide a leakproof seal with the syringe barrel. As ease of use for the medical practitioner and patient comfort are also key requirements, the seal helps to optimize plunger movement for accurate dosage control and ease of injection. Originating from medical raw materials with high biocompatibility status and compounded under clean conditions, Mediprene TPEs are the material of choice for medical customers who want to maximize the probability that their devices will pass relevant medical tests. The raw materials in these compounds comply with food contact norms like FDA 21CFR and Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011. Sealing compounds for crown corks The EPSeal 100 series is designed for crown corks and can be used for carbonated beverages including lemonades, beer, mineral water, juices and milk based drinks. Different versions accommodate all the beverage processing systems including sterilisation. Additional versions address steel down-gauging as well as twist off crown applications. Our laser marking versions support beverage promotion strategies. Oil free grades are also available. Tested by Nehring and VLB Berlin Odour and taste of a mineral water stored in a light box and sealed with a crown cork lined with EPSeal 100 had no taste or odour deviation. The FHx58 family is ideally suited for use in the food industry, pharmaceuticals and offshore applications. Encoders are available in two sensor technologies: Optoelectronic: incremental encoder (FHI58) 3D Hall: absolute encoder (FHB58 & FHS58) The high-class mechanical encoder design is independent of the installed sensor technology. High-quality ball bearings allow shaft loads up to 100 N. The dead-space-free sealing and bearings elements guarantee a wobble free shaft operation and ensures that no impurities can infiltrate. The stainless steel encoder body which is specially surface-treated in combination with PTFE, TPE sealing elements allow that the FHx58 can be used in applications with high hygienic standards.
