Corrugated tubes are used to protect cable wires and cable harnesses. When cutting this corrugated tube sheathing to length, it is important to cut precisely and reliably on the crest of the shaft, to avoid forming sharp cutting edges which damage the in-drawn cable wires. What makes the Statox 505 so reliable? In process monitoring, the status of plant components in case of a failure is becoming more and more a critical issue. The standards DIN EN 61508 as well as the product standard DIN EN 50402 are powerful tools to calculate the probability of a failure on demand. The Statox 505 complies with all of the requirements of these standards. It obtained the safety integrity level SIL 2. This provides a reliable database for the user to calculate the safety standard of his plant. If the Statox 505 is operated as a SIL 2 component, a so called “proof test” in certain time intervals is mandatory. All OK All important parameters such as sensor „heartbeat“, signal output, calibration, zero, sensitivity, temperature, sensor memory, amplifier, CPU, power supply etc. are continuously monitored for proper function. In case of a failure, an alarm will be triggered. Thus the system cannot fail without the error being noticed. A green LED signalizes the system status. The display and the controls are located at the inside of the housing - well protected from the elements. Minimum time and work in the field The sensors of the Statox 505 are plug and play technology. Each sensor has a F-RAM on board which communicates all relevant parameters to the sensor head: Gas, measuring range, last calibration, ex works calibration, response time etc. The sensors can easily be calibrated in the shop. For the user this means that he never ever will have to do calibration work in the harsh elements (wind, rain, cold, heat). No more lugging heavy test equipment and gas cylinders into the field. All the user has to do in the field, is plug the sensor back in. To do that, you don`t even need a tool! While the sensor is getting calibrated in the shop, the sensor cartridge stays in place and protects the sensor head from dust and rain. Tracer – Leak detection in the ppb range Application The Tracer has its strength where other methods of leak detection would fail, because they have cross sensitivities to other gases. Such selectivity is requested in plants using or producing extremely toxic substances. These plants always have a „Zero Emission Policy“ in force. Here high sensitivity in combination with good selectivity is required. Sensor technology Electrochemical sensors can be designed to be very selective and sensitive at the same time by the right material choice for electrodes and electrolyte. These sensors will not respond to less dangerous substances that might be around in the plant such as hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, hydrogen or even humidity. A detection limit of Phosgene as low as 2 ppb is no problem for this sensor technology! The Tracer is capable to detect even the smallest traces of toxic gases. The detection limit is in the low ppb range depending on the substance to be detected. As a leak detector might be exposed to very high concentrations, it must not be used as a personal monitor. To avoid it being abused as such, it displays no concentration, but only a dimensionless figure or a bar graph. Using the Tracer To locate a leak, move the sample intake along the surface to be inspected. The measured value will increase when a leak is approached. The display can be selected between bar graph and digital. A control tone and LED will increase in frequency with increasing measured value similar to a Geiger counter. The Tracer will protect itself from poisoning. If the measured value goes out of range the pump will go off and start again when it drops below 95% of the range. The graphic display is easy to read. At night or in dark places in the plant a backlight can be switched on. Consumables such as sensor, filter or sampling probe can easily be replaced without tools. Field test results – the high range version The first tests in plants have proven that an ultra-low measuring range does not always do the job. Therefore Compur Monitors has completed the Tracer product range by a new HIGH range version. It uses an orifice in front of the sensor increasing the measuring range by a factor of 20. The user can do that without changing the amplifier adjustment. All it takes is just replacing the LOW range sensor by a HIGH range sensor and so cover a measuring range from the low ppb range up to the two digit ppm level! The Tracer comes with 4 AA size disposable batteries. This version is not explosion proof. Ex Version Upon request the tracer can be delivered in an explosion - proof version with rechargeable batteries.

With the new ALO manual welding laser, you can either work manually or with an axis of rotation for circular welding. The working chamber is easily accessible via leather curtains, but the welding itself still takes place in the shielded laser safety area. The spacious working chamber can be loaded quickly through various openings, without opening doors: a large opening at the front ensures easy access to the welding chamber. The slots on the side enable the operator to position longer components in the machining area and to weld them in a laser-safe manner. Another passage on the bottom of the working chamber allows loading from below. The laser safe leather curtain offers certified laser protection so that the laser device can be placed in any work environment. The armrest is extremely comfortable - ensuring relaxed work. A lot of attention was also paid to good ergonomics. A high-quality extraction system with filter is integrated as standard.

AL-SWS - the multifunctional laser workstation with variable table inserts for sensor production With this flexible laser machine you can effortlessly weld and cut even the smallest workpieces up to 12 mm in diameter, either automatically or manually. The FHx58 family is ideally suited for use in the food industry, pharmaceuticals and offshore applications. Encoders are available in two sensor technologies: Optoelectronic: incremental encoder (FHI58) 3D Hall: absolute encoder (FHB58 & FHS58) The high-class mechanical encoder design is independent of the installed sensor technology. High-quality ball bearings allow shaft loads up to 100 N. The dead-space-free sealing and bearings elements guarantee a wobble free shaft operation and ensures that no impurities can infiltrate. The FHx58 can be cleaned with high pressure and steam jets (IP67/P69k). The stainless steel encoder body which is specially surface-treated in combination with PTFE, TPE sealing elements allow that the FHx58 can be used in applications with high hygienic standards. Precisely it is this design which allows to operate the FHx58 also in salty atmospheres permanently or to clean the encoder with cleaning-fluids containing acids and chemicals.

Thanks to the True-Power-On function, any angle changes are registered even during a supply voltage interruption and the angle is reproduced exactly as an analogue signal as soon as the supply voltage is restored. The contactless sensor technology works on the basis of modern gradient-based magnetic field evaluation in processor-supported circuit design. This makes the multiturn encoder largely immune to external magnetic fields or changing ambient temperatures. In combination with the precision mechanics, the encoder shows its additional strength compared to magnetoresistive methods. The latter can have weaknesses in voltage-free measured value acquisition. Another special feature of the multi-turn sensor are the signal plateaus at the beginning and end of the range, which prevent sudden signal changes. The electrically effective rotation range of the encoder is 3600°, ex works.

High-quality haptics for one-dimensional control tasks The proportional rockers of the PW30 series meet the highest demands on quality and reliability for long-term use in industrial environments. With the look of a rocker switch but the sensor technology of industrial joysticks, the PW30 series combines the advantages of joysticks (for transmitting an analogue control variable) with those of toggle switches (flat design, low space requirement). In addition to two different rocker shapes, choices between potentiometric or Hall-effect sensor technology, as well as between spring return to the centre position or to the end position, are possible.
