The Universal Robots UR10e is an extremely versatile collaborative industrial robot arm with its high payload (10kg) and long reach capability. Its 1300mm reach spans wide workspaces without compromising precision or payload performance. UR10e addresses a wide range of applications in machine tending, palletizing, and packaging. The Universal Robots UR3e is an ultra-lightweight, compact collaborative industrial robot, ideal for table-top applications. Its small footprint makes it ideal to be built directly inside machinery or in other tight workspaces. This cobot weighs only 24.3 lbs (11 kg), but has a payload of 6.6 lbs (3 kg). Its ±360-degree rotation on all wrist joints, and infinite rotation on the end joint, makes it well-suited for light assembly and screwdriving applications.

QuellTech Solution For this purpose, QuellTech offers a perfectly tailored seam tracking solution, which is based on a QuellTech 2D-Laserline Sensor of the Q4 family. The method consists in measurement of the real position and width immediately ahead of the welding process. The laser sensor captures the real dimension of the weld bead, and the software used for this process simultaneously sends the nominal position to the robot. The robot performs a correction movement in X or Z position according to this measurement. This way not only the deviation caused by tolerances, but also the warping effect can be compensated – and the weldment takes place exactly at the required position. The QuellTech 2D-Laserline Sensor is specially prepared to the highly disturbing ambient light from the weld process. It can be cooled and protected from weld spatter, so this model proves to be particularly adequate for operation in the harsh environment of the welding process.

Particular challenges To correct the effect of the tolerances of the parts, the welding robots path in conventional applications is usually adjusted, by means of a time consuming manual correction (teaching). Our glass assembly equipment lifts and fits windows and panes of up to 1300 kg to the millimetre, even overhead, and are built narrowly so that they can fit through doors and move down corridors. Using the battery-operated pane setter is a foolproof way to avoid awkward and heavy manual lifting. Remote control allows you to ensure the self-driver is always under control.

Schnelldorfer CORNERWELD seam welding machines have been designed to weld sheet metal plates in a 90° joint. The precision clamping system with inert gas coverage and advanced OEM control package precisely controls the welding sequence and weld parameters, resulting in the perfect weld for your corners. CORNERWELD applications include welded corners for food, medical equipment, HVAC drip pans, electrical enclosures, and laboratory furniture. Complex inward and outward flanges can be accommodated with custom made tooling pieces. A wide range of materials can be welded, including Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel and Aluminium. Complete welded parts do not require any costly grinding, polishing or blending thus greatly saving on manufacturing costs.

The AL-ROCK is a laser hardening system for surface hardening with a self-propelled caterpillar track. The laser can be brought directly to the workpiece. Time-consuming removal of the components to be hardened can often be avoided. The robot arm easily reaches the hard-to-reach places on the workpiece. All common metals can be hardened, e.g. Quenched and tempered steels, cold work steels and cast steel or gray cast iron. The material must have at least 80% pearlite. The degrees of hardness that can be achieved are identical to those of conventional hardening processes. In free 3D movements, the laser beam precisely follows even the most demanding three-dimensional workpiece contours, for example on tracks along closing edges. Pimples, scar structures. Simple points are also not a problem. Only the free access of the laser beam to the surface to be hardened is required. And the AL-ROCK can do even more - on request, the laser robot can also be used for laser welding.
