The automatic leakage tester used to control the tightness of CO2 inert gas packaging allows even the smallest leaks - even in the micro range - to be detected.The package is tested by simply placing it in the vacuum chamber. The automatic test cycle starts when the lid is closed. The unit generates a user-defined vacuum during this process. After the vacuum is reached, the sensor is set to the "virtual" zero point. If the CO2 concentration rises during the measuring time that now begins and was previously selected by the user, this indicates that the packaging is leaking. The measured increase of the CO2 content in ppm gives information about the size of the not tightly sealed area. The sensor demonstrably detects even the smallest leaks up to approx. 10 µm. (µm is a micrometre and corresponds to 0.001 millimetres)

Micro-Epsilon offers a large range of inductive sensors for displacement and position measurement from conventional LVDT sensors and inductive sensors with integrated controller to customer-specific high-volume versions. Optical micrometers from Micro-Epsilon operate according to the transmitted light principle (ThruBeam micrometer). Here, the transmitter produces a parallel light curtain that is transmitted via a lens arrangement into the receiver unit. The beam is interrupted if an object is in the light path. The resulting shadowing is detected by the receiving optics and output as measurement value. Most optical micrometers are used for dimensional measurements in production, machine monitoring and quality assurance. Parameters such as diameter, gap, height and position are detected with high accuracy.

The capaNCDT DTV series is designed for non-contact detection of Disc Thickness Variation (DTV). Capacitive sensors for multi-track measurements and a carrying case including the complete measurement channel for mobile use are available. With the capaNCDT DTV measurement system, capacitive displacement sensors determine the thickness of the brake discs from both sides based on the difference principle. While the brake disc rotates, the thickness deviation is determined via the circumference of the entire disc. Using several sensors in pairs or the CSH1,4FL multi-channel sensor makes multi-track thickness measurement possible. Thickness measurements can be carried out in test benches, in road tests or in car repair shops. The DTV case is intended for mobile use, e.g., for quality assurance purposes and warranty claims.
