The AQUACHEM LCM 320 (pocket press membrane) is ideal for mobile deployment on site on a suitable trolley and can be operated with up to 15 bar loading and 15 bar membrane squeezing. This machine can also be used as a testing filter press in the case in order to decide on the right fabric or to check the filterability of the suspension. Fully equipped, this compact press can manually implement functions that our fully automatic machines can do. The AQUACHEM LC 320 (pocket press chamber) is identical in design to the LCM 320 and differs only in its function as a chamber filter press (without membrane). The LC 470 is the more affordable, low-cost version of the EC-series. Main feature is the restriction of the feeding pressure to 7 bar. All other features are the same as the EC-series. This series is built in a compact design with a feeding pump and discharge manifold.

The RUF briquetting systems of the Biomass series process dust, shavings and wooden chips into briquettes of consistently high quality and density. Varying bulk densities are offset automatically during the process. These materials can be pressed into a compact form without the use of binders. It is important that the moisture content of the chips is below 15%, preferably under 12%, and that the chip size does not exceed 50mm. The general rule is that the finer the material is, the smoother and more solid the surfaces and edges of the resulting briquette. The systems can be equipped with a multitude of options, thus optimally adapting them to customer needs. This series offers maximum flexibility. All systems are extremely energy efficient thanks to the innovative RUF hydraulic system. Depending on the model, the machines are equipped with motors ranging between 4 kW and 90 kW. The throughput capacities of the RUF Biomass presses range between 50 and 1,300 kg/h.

The latest addition to the RUF Maschinenbau portfolio, the low-cost RUF Formica, is a new briquetting system designed for the metals industries. Configured for small to mid sized batches in a wide range of applications, it frees a lot of storage space and simplifies logistics, making it in addition an attractive investment for production companies generating only small chip quantities.

The RUF SZ1+ briquetting system presses loose wood chips into compact briquettes. The high pressure ensures a constant high quality and density. The newly developed RUF Briklet press produces briquettes with a diameter of 30mm. The Briklet is the right choice, when a small briquette size is needed. Therefore they can be conveyed with an automatic feed. Furthermore, it automatically offsets varying grain sizes so that other materials apart from wood can be processed effortlessly. With wood chips, the RUF Briklet press can achieve a throughput rate of around 300 kg/h with a briquette density of ≥ 1 kg/l.

The filter presses from AQUACHEM of the EC Beverage series are used in the beverage industry, for example, for the filtration of selected wines. Another feature is that the filter elements are gasketed, and therefore the must or juice does not also come into contact with the ambient air. The EC Beverage series is offered as standard in the filter plate sizes 470, 630 and 800 mm.

In the tried-and-tested, gasketed design, the EC-series offers many benefits to the user on top of its ease of operation. Due to the internal drainage, use in even the most hygienically clean areas is possible. The press lock is performed by an automatically self-regulating pneumatic/hydraulic closing system. The automatic closing pressure maintenance ensures that the plate pack always remains closed. An adjustable pressure switch with a potential-free contact is provided for integration into the customer's control system. This prevents the feeding pump from running uncontrollably. Also, as with all AQUACHEM filter presses, the discharge manifold can be generated here at the customer's request. Due to the gasketed design, the seamless backflushing of the filter media in the filter press is possible. The filter press frame is phosphated and powder-coated, offering a high level of protection against external influences.

The BC-series impresses with its simple and robust technology, while at the same time offering the user many features to simplify work. The optionally available semi-automatic plate shifting allows the user to shift the filter elements conveniently. The hydraulics are controlled via the HMI control system with touchscreen. This allows any feeding pump of your choosing to be integrated and controlled. There are plates available in the formats 800, 1,000 and 1,200 mm, allowing for filtration surfaces of up to 178 m². Thanks to the gasketed design, a clean environment is ensured, even during the internal flushing of the filter elements with aggressive media. The individual discharge manifold enables many functions such as displacement air drying, turbid flow, clear flow, flushing and also cake washing. The standardised hydraulic unit is used in both the BC-series and the AF-series.

The AF filter presses from AQUACHEM are a further development of conventional chamber filter presses, which have been tried and tested in the industry for over a century. However, due to the degree of automation required and the increase in efficiency necessary nowadays, the technology we have had up until now is often no longer up to date. The design of the AF filter presses is based on the optimum interplay of the ?? individual assemblies of the filter press to ensure reliable, efficient and permanent operation without personnel being present. Some of SPIROL's standard Pin Installation Models can be equipped with a pusher punch (in place of a pin insertion quill) to press Threaded Inserts into plastic assemblies. The most appropriate Installation Machine depends on the actual insertion force required to press the Insert into the plastic hole and the desired productivity. Generally speaking, the Model PMH Heavy Duty Installation Machine is typically used for low to medium volume installation, and for medium to high volume installation, SPIROL's Model PH/PHX Platen-Style Installation Machines can be used for simultaneous installation of several Press-In Inserts at the same or different elevations. Due to the length to diameter ratio of Press -In Inserts, it is not possible to cost-effectively tube feed this type of Threaded Insert with SPIROL's automatic feeding and Installation machines.

Press-In Inserts are designed to be pressed into a straight hole without melting the plastic prior to installation. Ideal for use in softer plastics, the helical knurls of the Press-In Inserts are used to provide both torque and pull-out resistance and to ensure good plastic flow as the Insert rotates into the hole. Installation torque to achieve sufficient tension between the threads is not a problem in that the helical knurls are designed so that the direction of the installation torque will have the tendency to drive the Insert into the hole — which of course is not possible — as the threaded joint is tightened. A pilot only slightly smaller than the hole and of sufficient length is designed to assure straight insertion into the hole. Press-In Inserts offer rapid installation with no specialized equipment and achieve good overall joint performance. If installation equipment is required, SPIROL also offers a standard comprehensive line of Insert Installation Equipment.

For every need a suitable press: All briquetting systems of the RUF LIGNUM series process residual wood at a constantly high level of quality and density – from dust to wood shavings and coarse chips. The remaining water content must be less than 15% in order to create briquettes with consistent quality and thickness. For every requirement the right format: The rectangular briquettes can therefore be perfectly stacked and bundled into packages . The briquette formats 150x60mm and 40x70mm are available. Optimized throughput rates with our LIGNUM series: All RUF LIGNUM models are highly energy effi cient thanks to their innovative RUF hydraulic system. The further improvement of the hydraulic system of the LIGNUM R2 and LIGNUM R4 has led to an effi ciency increase of around 25%. Briquetter for wood have depending on model & material throughput rates between 410and 1,050 kg/hr.

Metzner powder press and indexable insert automations of the "RPA 3-SC series" automatically remove pressed blanks from a powder press and deposit them quickly and gently in a definable sample. In the "RPA 3-SC1", the transfer of the individual sintering plates and the loading of the blanks is carried out by a SCARA 4-axis robot. The empty sintering plates are placed manually into a sintering plate magazine, removed with a sintering plate gripper if necessary, and fed to the loading position. The robot then moves to a gripper station, deposits the sintering plate gripper, picks up a part gripper, and starts loading the sintering plate. In the "RPA 3-SC2", sintering plates are placed manually on a double conveyor belt. One sintering plate at a time is automatically transported to the loading position via the conveyor belt. The robot immediately starts to load the blanks. Loaded sintering plates are ejected from the loading position and manually removed from the conveyor belt.

The "Metzner RPA 60-LT" is a powerful robot press automation with an outstanding storage system for the highest demands in the handling of pressed parts made of hard metal and metal powder. With a storage capacity of up to 60 sintering plates, the it offers outstanding possibilities for the production of sintered parts of all types. All sintering plates are fed to the machine via four transport trolleys with 15 plates each. The intelligent handling system of the "RPA 60-LT" ensures uninterrupted loading of the pressed parts. While the first sintering plate is filled by a linear robot with multifunctional gripper, the handling system provides a second empty plate. As soon as the first plate is filled, the loading of the second one starts. Meanwhile, the handling system returns the loaded sintering plate to the transport carriage. The automation thus works according to the Kanban principle, which ensures that the press can be operated continuously even during the workpiece carrier change

The "Metzner RPA 10-SL" is a powerful and flexible press automation system for handling indexable inserts and small ceramic parts for medium to large batch sizes. It has an integrated magazine system for up to ten sintering inserts. Empty sintering inserts are automatically removed from the magazine, loaded and then returned as required. In this way, the powder press automation works independently over a longer period of time without loading and unloading processes leading to a press stop. With its integrated 4-axis SCARA robot, the machine achieves very high system speeds of up to 30 stroke/min. The "RPA 10-SL" is operated conveniently via the integrated control or via the mobile operator terminal. At the push of a button, loaded sintering plates are removed and new ones received. Defined operating data are transferred to the press control via an interface.
