The robust ERM modular magnetic encoders are especially suited for use in production machines. Their large available inside diameters, their small dimensions and the compact design predestine them for C axis on lathes / Rotary and tilting tables. For years, the ERMs have been the preferred encoders for C axes on lathes. Besides their high resistance to contamination, the large inside diameters are also important to allow bar material to be machined without limitations. Because of this design arrangement, the graduation of the ERM is usually on a much larger diameter than the workpiece. Position errors of the encoder therefore affect workpiece accuracy to a correspondingly reduced degree.

The angle encoders without integral bearing (modular angle encoders) are intended for integration in machine elements or apparatuses. They are suited for the following requirements: — Large hollow shaft diameter (up to 10 m with a scale tape) — High shaft speeds up to 20000 rpm — No additional starting torque from shaft seals — Segment solutions Field of application: High-resolution rotary axes with high reproducibility — Very high number of signal periods — Small mounting space — Small interpolation error and low signal noise

The modular system of the MBS series is available in three sizes. The MBS 100 is the "smallest" of the three models and processes materials such as tubes and profiles of up to 90 mm wide. Depending on the material size, further machine elements such as type and number of cutting tools, length and width of the belt feed, control, feed, running direction, coating material of the conveyor belts and base frames are selected. Metzner "MBS series" cutting machines stand for outstanding flexibility when machining flexible and semi-rigid profiles made of rubber and plastic. With different cutting methods and machine components, cutting machines are created which can be individually adapted to customer requirements and are made available in the shortest possible time with hardly any development effort.

The modular Waferhandling-System facilitates all possible handling processes of wafers. Loading and unloading, conveying, gripping, inspecting, sorting and singulating can be realized in one system. Our Ultrasonic Suspension Technology keeps the wafer on distance the whole time and therefore prevents micro-scratches and contamination. The ERM scale drums are available in two completely different design types, appropriate for their use in different installations: The TTR ERM 2x00 scale drums for precise axes in turning and milling applications The TTR ERM 2x04 and TTR ERM 2x05 scale drums for spindle applications Furthermore, various grating periods are available for the scale drums, depending on the speed and accuracy requirements.

The angle encoders without integral bearing (modular angle encoders) ERP, ERO and ERA consist of two components—a scanning head and a graduation carrier, which must be aligned with each other during mounting. The eccentricity of the shaft as well as installation and adjustment therefore have a decisive effect on the achievable accuracy. Modular angle encoders are available with various graduation carriers. Compact - minimal compression: With its new designed geometry microFIN feather elements interlock with the bellow elements. This enables the whole construction to achieve a compression of 2,4 mm per lamella. In comparison to regular bellows which have a relatively high compression rate, the whole machine stroke can be greatly enlarged. Anti-Scratch: With its unique coating at the bottom of each fin (lamella), scratching is prevented and the lifetime of the cover is increased significant (up to 70%). Additionally it increases the tightness against coolants and chips. (available for lamellas up to 1500 mm width) Exchange: Each lamella is removable from the bellow - corpus without disassembly of the whole cover systems. This is achieved by a plug connection between corpus lamella and protection lamella. Damaged lamellas can be removed easily and cost-effective. Fabric: Due to its modular construction, an additional fabric can be added to the cover system.
