Defects to be examined in this application are very small, their size is often lower than 0.5 mm – hard to discover by human eye. Rework in the course of the production of the final product however, proves to be complicated and expensive. Large rolls with a diameter of 2 m and a length of 10 m are very difficult to remove and to reinstall. In order to avoid corresponding inconveniencies, it is essential to support the manufacturing process of the rolls themselves by a reliable quality control in the form of an automated final inspection. As the Quelltech Q6 laser scanner features an extremely precise resolution of 4096 Pixels/Profile at a high scan rate, this model proved to be able to meet the requirements and was mounted onto the positioning stage of the grinding machine. Furthermore, an industrial measurement computer was added, used for the analysis software of the point cloud. On the basis of this configuration, the entire roll surface could be recorded on a helical path.

With laser generation, components are built up layer by layer from powdered metallic materials used in serial production such as 1.2709 steel or 1.4543 steel. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, this enables us to transfer your computer-generated 3D/CAD models reliably over to their physical form. Here, thin coats of the powder materials are applied to a base object before being melted using a laser into the desired contour. This process is continued on a revolving basis until the workpiece is complete with the final geometric form and the relevant functional properties. Incidentally, we reclaim excess powder material during this process and use all of it for later productions again. Our services in sample development also include technical springs, which we produce in small batches for your sample application. Traditional sample development services are a new addition to our portfolio. Here, we produce a small-scale series of your bent strip parts from original materials.

120 - 5300 CFM / 195 to 9,000 m³/h The NASH Vectra was designed around a modular platform using the most advanced computer aided design techniques, such as 3D solid modeling and finite element analysis (FEA). The modular platform offers the advantage of two versions with numerous common parts. The Vectra GL model, available from 120 to 830 CFM (200 to 1,500 m³/hr), is ideal for general industrial applications. It comes standard with internal mechanical seals and many Nash patented innovations including gas scavenging. The Vectra XL model was designed to meet the stringent requirements of many CPI applications. Whether operating as a vacuum pump or compressor, it features a 30 PSI (2 bar) differential capability. It is available in ductile iron or 316L stainless steel with a variety of shaft sealing options. Sizes range from 120 to 5,300 CFM (200 to 9,000 m³/hr). The NASH Vectra can be operated within a wide range of operating speeds, with numerous 50 and 60 HZ direct drive speeds. This increased turndown capability makes them ideal for varying load applications when driven by VFD's.
