In a traditional press, the option of material type and material thickness is limited by the coil springs inability to produce a high force in a short linear distance. When this performance is necessary, coil springs will have a negative effect on the quality of the formed product and efficiency of the manufacturing process. We can produce the parts you require using specific tools or on special-purpose machines. We produce complex forms and assembly parts with strip thicknesses of 0.10 to 3.00 and with strip widths of up to 100 mm – depending on the material used. The manufacturing processes that we offer include: Punching, forming, embedding, welding, bolting, riveting and mounting. We perform the assembly of small batches by hand, while larger volumes are performed automated if you so wish. Our hybrid sub-assembly production includes the over-moulding of punched parts made of wire or metal with a variety of plastics or silicones. In order to ensure that the desired braking element features optimum properties, we make use of both the temperature durability and the haptic advantages of silicone and the weight advantage of plastic when combining these materials in this fashion. Guide tube assemblies, a combination of springs and tubes, are part of the hybrid component portfolio.

With automatic continuous punching machines, machine and tool merge into a high-performance system with high output and remarkable flexibility. Whether sealing profiles for the automotive industry, applications for furniture, or household appliances – complex trimming is often required here. Thanks to the Metzner automatic throughfeed punching machines, processing operations such as contour cutting, drilling and milling can be integrated into a throughfeed system. All these machines store all machining parameters and machine settings in a machining recipe. When starting production, an integrated barcode scanner activates all presettings on the basis of the working papers and simultaneously reports the correct tool and material on the machine display. The barcode also contains the required quantities and lengths. Thanks to well thought-out quick-change systems, tools and materials are generally changed within no more than 30 seconds, minimizing downtimes.
