mainSENSOR is based on an innovative measuring principle, which has been developed by Micro-Epsilon in order to combine the advantages of both inductive and magnetic sensors. Magneto-inductive sensors are frequently used as alternative to inductive sensors and proximity sensors in process automation, the packaging industry and in machine monitoring. Measuring the distance to a magnet which is fixed at the measurement object, the sensor outputs a continuous, linear signal. As different strength magnets are applied, measuring ranges of between 20 mm and 55 mm can be achieved. However, in order to adapt the measuring range, it is only necessary to change the magnet.

The displacement sensors of series SPR18 are used in industrial applications, which require a compact linear transducer with spring-suspended probe tip, long lifespan, high accuracy, rear and front guided push rod with measuring length from 25 to 100 mm. The compact and robust linear potentiometers of the series SPR18 are designed for industrial applications. The housing profile made of anodized aluminium corresponds to the usual industrial dimension with 18x18 mm. The transducer has a stainless steel ball in the probe tip, for example for scanning profiles or for monitoring distances. In the displacement sensor series SPR18, the mechanical detection of linear movement is done by a rear and front guided push rod.

With VIBRONET Signalmaster, up to 162 measuring points can be installed and entire production areas can be included in the monitoring. The distance between the basic unit and the sensor does not play a decisive role, because the wiring concept used reduces installation costs to a minimum. VIBRONET Signalmaster is therefore one of the most efficient and costeffective monitoring systems for large machinery and extensive plants with productioncritical units. Vibration, temperature, RPM and other process parameters can be integrated into a monitoring network that covers whole plant sections.The robust cabling installation guarantees reliable machine monitoring even in harsh environments such as cement plants, openpit and underground mining or refineries. VIBRONET Signalmaster is easily expandable. The data recorded can be analyzed in OMNITREND CENTER, the universal software platform for PRUFTECHNIK's Condition Monitoring systems.
