Particular Challenge: For the assessment of rotating parts, numerous parameters have to be taken into consideration: Concentricity, radial run-out and axial run-out (i.e. wobble); furthermore thickness, diameter, planarity and the absence of surface defects had to be examined. The solution developed by QuellTech consists in a configuration of three Q6 Laser Laser Scanners.Each of the lateral surfaces is assigned to its own scanner. In order to enable the thickness precisely to be determined, both laser lines are mutually oriented in opposite direction. The third scanner inspects the outer circumference of the wheel, this way measuring diameter and radial run-out. All of these scanners are subject to encoder signals supplied by the rotary axis and synchronously triggered, so possible defects on the wheel can precisely be localized. The measurement takes place at a resolution of ca. 30 µm, and a cloud comprising several millions of points are obtained.

The laser welding systems of the AL series can be used universally. They might be integrated into existing machine structures or used with an application device for manual welding. In combination with our NC-controlled laser machining table AL-T you get a real professional solution. We offer the required performance class for every application. You can choose between 75 and 900 W. There is a wide range of processing lenses and equipment options for these laser systems. Regardless of whether you use a simple 90 ° deflection lens, the tilt-swivel lens or our circular welding lens - the laser beam always reaches the desired point on the workpiece with pinpoint accuracy. The mobile laser welding machine ALFlak is particularly suitable for laser deposition and contour welding on large machine components, design components as well as on injection moulds and tools The sophisticated movement mechanism of the ALFlak enables you to work comfortably on large components - you can even immerse in deep, bulky shapes with the slim laser arm. With long weld seams, the ALFlak takes advantage of its large travel axes. A weld seam with a length of up to 500 mm is possible without settling - manually or according to a specified program. Welding can be done in manual mode, semi-automatic or fully programmed. The use of an automatic wire feeder or a rotary axis is also possible. It is the versatile possibilities for mobile welding that make it a very special welding system.

The robust ERM modular magnetic encoders are especially suited for use in production machines. Their large available inside diameters, their small dimensions and the compact design predestine them for C axis on lathes / Rotary and tilting tables. For years, the ERMs have been the preferred encoders for C axes on lathes. Besides their high resistance to contamination, the large inside diameters are also important to allow bar material to be machined without limitations. Because of this design arrangement, the graduation of the ERM is usually on a much larger diameter than the workpiece. Position errors of the encoder therefore affect workpiece accuracy to a correspondingly reduced degree.
