Plastic cards are well accepted in our average life. Formerly mainly used as credit cards for payments - nowadays plastic cards be used variously: client cards for customer loyalty programs, extraordinary advertising, datastorage, access control, ID system and much more. Magnetic stripes, Microchips or RFID cards offer individual solutions for every technical application. The averagely used standard card is a glossy laminated Plastic card. The specification is described in ISO 7810. It is made from 4-5 layers of PVC and completely recyclable. The format of a standard card in credit card format is 85,6 * 54,0 mm and has a thickness of 760 micron +/- 0,8 mm with rounded edges. Cards that are different to the standard credit card format attract attention. Besides the production in the classic format of a bank card there are almost all forms and formats possible. All these formats can be equipped with holes as ID badges and most can be individually personalised. A commonly used format is the key-tag card where from a main Plastic card in standard format the key-tag or key-tags are broken away. Besides hundreds of already existing form we can create your entirely new special format. The Standard Plastic card is heat proof up to about 60°C. For most applications this is sufficient. There are special demands where a much higher heat proof is needed, such as use of cards in hot regions or especially in the car behind the windshield. Special HT material can resist high temperatures up to 110°C. Because of the characteristics of the material also higher resistance against breaking and more flexural stiffness. Prepaid Phone cards display the issuing company and have a Code that activates the credit amount. This code is protected by a scratch-off label. As these cards are used only singularly they canbe printed on Thin plastic material e.g. PET. Also cardboard is a common used material. The personalization is executed in High-Secure DOD process, a logfile is created during the personalization, duplicates are avoided by this logfile and the entire process is monitored and recorded.
