Based on our many years of experience in developing and manufacturing high-quality machine components, GMN has specialized in the area of high-precision ball bearings as well as the production of high-performance and long-lived deep groove and spindle ball bearings to meet – or even exceed – the highest precision classes P4 and ABEC 7. Certification under international standards ensures the highest precision in the development and manufacturing of GMN ball bearings and guarantees constant, outstanding qualities related to speed suitability, stability and longevity. The broad product range includes a large selection of standard solutions as well as requirements-tailored special designs.

The use of high-precision radial groove ball bearings is especially recommended when axial forces are supported in two directions, but the installation space makes the use of a spindle bearing pair impossible; plus when the best-possible guide for rotating components is needed, but the RPM requirements are less important. Depending upon the load capability and the installation space available, GMN provides deep groove ball bearings in sizes 60 and 62 as per DIN 625. A large selection of various cages, lubricants and covers make it possible to adapt GMN deep groove ball bearings to any application.

For many applications such as machine tools, medical devices, vacuum and measuring equipment, as well as complex bearing systems, GMN develops and offers special ball bearings which meet our customers’ specified requirements.

GMN offers a complete range of sizes, types and designs with its spindle ball bearings in standard sizes S, SM and KH. In conventionally oil-lubricated spindle bearings, lubricant is supplied through a lateral oil supply. GMN spindle bearing designs +A, +AB, +L and +LB provide direct oil supplies to the lubrication point through a bore in the outer ring. GMN spindle bearing designs +AG ensure the highest possible machine running times without complex oil supply systems. These feed the lubricant directly into the lubricating point through holes in the outer ring. The developed high-performance, separable BNT and BHT designs ensure fast and uncomplicated handling, especially with regard to assembly and maintenance.

"Ball bearings with a material combination of bearing steel (inner and outer rings) and ceramic (balls) are called ‘hybrid’ ball bearings. All GMN ball bearings can be supplied as hybrid ball bearings. The material characteristics of ceramic balls in hybrid ball bearings result in significant increases in machine performance (in comparison to ball bearings using steel balls), especially under critical conditions.

GMN ball bearing freewheel clutch units are suitable for low and medium torque requirements. The FK, FKN and FKNN series have an integrated ball bearing and are also optionally available pre-lubricated with grease and seal rings (2RS models). GMN ball bearing freewheel clutch units without seals are suitable for either oil or grease lubrication. All GMN ball bearing freewheel clutch units can be used as indexing clutches, backstops or as overrunning clutches.

Rod ends consist of a housing and a built-in spherical plain bearing. The housing of a screwable rod end has an external or internal thread. Rod ends are particularly suitable for use in linkage and lever connections. In our product range, you will find both maintenance-free and maintenance-bound rod ends. Our special hydraulic rod ends are available either for bolting on or for welding on. Our rod ends are suitable for high static loads. The maintenance-required rod ends can withstand changing loads and impact loads permanently without any problems, while maintenance-free models can only do this to a limited extent.

Spherical plain bearings are machine elements that can be installed immediately and are produced according to a specific standard. Since they are plain bearings, there is sliding contact between the inner and outer ring. Spherical plain bearings are ideal for rotary, tilting and swivelling movements and are insensitive to shocks, impacts and vibrations. This makes them extremely popular for load-bearing and guiding functions. You will find both maintenance-free and maintenance-required spherical plain bearings in our product range. Our maintenance-free spherical plain bearings comply with DIN ISO 12240-1, dimensional series E/G. The sliding pairing consists of a hard chrome/PTFE composite. The bearings themselves are manufactured with the tolerance group CN. These are also available in sealed versions. Using a heavy-duty glass fibre fabric combined with a selected binder resin helps to increase the mechanical properties, pressure further and wear resistance of this bearing type.
