New concepts for new markets is the banner under which the Bavarian construction and industrial hoist manufacturer GEDA-Dechentreiter GmbH & Co. KG presented a new personnel and material hoist, especially for markets outside Europe: The new GEDA SBL 2000. In contrast with other, variably adjustable hoist solutions from GEDA, the new GEDA SBL 2000 is therefore only available in a fixed platform size of 3.20 x 1.45 x 2.10 m, a standard load capacity of 2000 kg and 23 people, as well as a hoist speed of 55 m/min and a discharge head of 250 m. The title “Made in Germany” also stands for quality outside Europe. According to GEDA Managing Director Johann Sailer, it is important to stress in this context that with the GEDA SBL 2000 a product optimally tailored to meet the needs of target markets outside European has been developed and manufactured entirely in Germany. The GEDA SBL 2000 is available both as a single and a twin cabin.

Wherever heavy loads have to be transported to great heights, the new GEDA BL 2000 ensures the necessary efficiency in the construction process. The person and material hoist has a load capacity of 2,000 kg or 23 people and a lifting speed of 55 m/min and the new power pack from GEDA is available as a single and twin variant. The platform size of 1.45 x 3.20 x 2.10 metres also enables the transportation of bulky goods up to a lifting height of 250 metres. Setup Since HEIDENHAIN manufactures the bearings as well as the encoders, the two functional assemblies are highly integrated. Fewer components are necessary than in conventional solutions, resulting in fewer joints. This permits a very compact and rigid design, with particularly low overall heights. Currently, angle encoder modules with hollow shafts of 35 mm and 100 mm are available.

The robust ERM modular magnetic encoders are especially suited for use in production machines. Their large available inside diameters, their small dimensions and the compact design predestine them for C axis on lathes / Rotary and tilting tables. For years, the ERMs have been the preferred encoders for C axes on lathes. Besides their high resistance to contamination, the large inside diameters are also important to allow bar material to be machined without limitations. Because of this design arrangement, the graduation of the ERM is usually on a much larger diameter than the workpiece. Position errors of the encoder therefore affect workpiece accuracy to a correspondingly reduced degree.

A major hallmark of HEIDENHAIN angle encoders is their very high system accuracy.
