The new Deichman Main Library, which opened in 2020, stands right beside the Norwegian Opera House in Oslo. Now complete, the library is a paragon of energy efficiency and low greenhouse gas emissions. We are delighted to have contributed towards the success of this project. Some of the extralarge, solid window frontage profiles on the sixstorey building were manufactured using modern machinery at TechnoComposites Domine GmbH. At approx. 0.5 metres thick and featuring several hollow chambers, these façade element profiles are clearly visible on the building.

Unexcited synchronous motors Reluctance motors are used in textile machinery as drive for godets and spinning pumps. In general they are used in inverter application as single drive or group drive. Reluctance motors can be realised for any voltage/frequency ratio U/f. Speed >15.000min1 is possible. A great no. of variations concerning special shaft, flange bearing and housing is available. Reluctance motors are available for hazardous locations in flameproof design.

Hub fitting wheels are also used to drive machinery and vehicles.

Our self-aligning ball bearings are characterised by their high load capacity and long service life. The KIS range includes both open and sealed self-aligning ball bearings, depending on the requirement. They are particularly suitable for applications with high demands on load performance and wear protection and are used, for example, in industrial machinery, wind turbines and conveyor technology. With low maintenance requirements, they offer long-lasting wear protection. Two rows of balls, two deep raceways in the inner ring and a hollow ball raceway in the outer ring combined for both rows characterise the design of self-aligning ball bearings. Due to the spherical raceway in the outer ring, self-aligning ball bearings are insensitive to misalignments of the shaft to the housing, compensating for static and dynamic angular errors within certain angular limits in a rotating shaft system. Portal handling system with processing station Manufacturing a portal handling system according to the client’s drawing as well as the central components for the processing station. The system was assembled in FMS’ facilities and pre-commissioned together with the client. Major welding certificate required. Usage: bars are introduced into the station, isolated there, automatically transported to the processing station, processed and prepared for collection on the other side.
