Silicone -coated fabrics were among the first professional materials for industrial use and in textile architecture . The high flexibility and resistance to aging are good reasons for these materials. In the past, silicone fabrics were less successful due to their poor processing and often insufficient fire rating. The non- flammable GLASS SILICON A2 tarpaulin was chemically and physically redesigned from the ground up. This has enabled many problems of the past to be overcome. A real difference is that the non-flammable tarpaulin is now almost as resistant to bending . The glass fabric is almost as insensitiveas a tarpaulin ! This makes the material ideal for a wide range of applications in industry and architecture . The coating can be supplied in colour or transparent . The viewer sees a naturally diffuse light , especially in the transparent version . This makes the fabric suitable for lighting in buildings.
