Aramid fibers are suitable for very demanding applications and they are widely used in the firefighting industry (manufacturing of firefighters’ clothing) because of their flame retardant properties. Aramid is not only fireproof, the aramid fibers also have a high tensile strength, which is why they are often used for bulletproof vests (military and police) or for armoring selected emergency vehicles. A special property of aramid nonwovens is its good thermal insulation. The laid heating wire creates a very high heat output, which is insulated by the nonwoven. Aramid has a high heat resistance, which is an enormous advantage since laying the heating wire generates a very high heat output which is further enhanced by the insulation provided by the aramid nonwoven carrier. In addition, the nonwoven is either not combustible or flame retardant and can be used for a temperature ranges of up to 200°C.

With our textile-based electric elements we offer a better solution for surface heating in comparison to classic silicone heater. The HTSD-High Temperature Drum Heater is our high temperature drum heater (220 °C) and exclusively suitable for steel drums. The heating jacket is used in areas where large surfaces need heating over 90 °C. This barrel heater is available in four standard sizes (25 / 50 / 105 / 200 liters) and can be manufactured to customer specifications as well. HISD heater jackets are particularly suited to melt soaps, fats, varnishes and oil-based products, or respectively reduce their viscosity. The 200-liter element can be combined with the HBD - base drum heater to reduce the heat-up time. The heating element of the HTSD heating jackets is sewn into a fleece made of silicone-insulated fibreglass material. The insulating outer housing consists of a binder-free mat made of textile glass. The heating element is therefore double insulated (protection class II). An optimal contact with the barrel, as well as a quick assembly and dismantling are achieved by the use of quick release buckles.

Screw-in heaters are versatile and intended for heating liquid media in industrial and commercial applications. When selecting, the specific surface load permitted for the respective medium must be observed and checked by the customer. EHK G1 1/2 are mainly used to heat water and aqueous solutions. 3 tubular heating elements ø 8,5mm made of stainless steel 1.4404 resp. Incoloy 825 brazed in G1 1/2″ thread made of brass (lead free) or stainless steel. Connection to 230/400 V3 (N), rotatable stainless steel terminal box. Use e.g. in washing machines, dishwashers, tempering equipment, laboratory equipment. The heaters are also suitable for water heating with photovoltaics, primarily the EHK G1128xxx series. Combination with all common PV controls possible, stepless power output.
