Gas-tight barrel pump with flexible discharge hose for filling off into large canisters and containers. Convenient transfer because the canister can stay on the floor. The connection cone is held onto the container. The gas-tight barrel pump enables odour-free transfer. During transfer with normal pumps, it is impossible to prevent vapours escaping into the atmosphere. The gas-shuttle method avoids this. Any vapours produced are returned from the container which is to be filled to the original container via the gas-shuttle pipe. The gas pipe and the liquid pipe are additionally provided with stopcocks. Gas-tight pumps are used for substances that have a strong smell such as ammonia.

For our customers in the automotive and housing industry, we produce deep-drawn stainless steel pots with an integrated axle as a monobloc component. These are used in water pumps for electric vehicles. Our customer from the automotive industry needs pots with an integrated axle that holds a rotor. Up to now, the pot and axle have been joined in a centred manner by means of welding. The customer's wish was to produce a one-piece component to avoid welding. Deep drawing is the ideal technology for this. The size of the component required larger presses than were previously available. Therefore, we first developed tools as prototypes for larger presses on behalf of the customer. After practical tests at the customer's premises as well as at the end customer's, our client decided on a tool that was ideally suited for the production of the component in series.

With the thread adapter made of high-quality stainless steel 1.4301 (304) a pump, a drain cock or any other connection with thread G 2" (Whitworth pipe thread) can be screwed onto a container with G 1 1/2" thread. The thread adapter adapts and thus compensates for different thread shapes. The drum adapter ensures that decanting is liquid-tight; a seal made of ePTFE reliably seals the connection. The thread adapter made of stainless steel is electrically conductive and highly chemically resistant. It can therefore be used for filling solvents and other flammable liquids (e.g. alcohols, petrol, diesel etc.) as well as for weak alkalis and acids.

The withdrawal system can be used to dispense high-purity liquids quickly and without complications. An excess pressure is produced in the container with pressurised gas (compressed air or nitrogen), thereby pumping the liquid out of the tank. The advantage of operation using pressure gas is that the user can extract even large amounts without effort while having both hands free to dispense the solvent. In this way, large amounts of hazardous media such as acetone, ethanol and methanol, etc. can also be safely dispensed and accurately metered using the stop cock. For use with media sensitive to oxygen or for ultra-pure media, operation with an inert gas (e.g. nitrogen) is possible. The barrel screw connection and shut-off valves seal off the barrel and pump hermetically. This means that no vapours containing solvents can escape after dispensing, thereby protecting users' health and the environment.

Depending on the pump housing, the diaphragm pumps operated by compressed air can be offered in metal or plastic. Air operated diaphragm pumps made of plastic The double diaphragm pumps made of plastic have a pump housing made of polyethylene or PTFE, each also in a conductive version as an ATEX pump for use in hazardous areas. The compressed air diaphragm pumps in solid construction made of polyethylene can be used for abrasive, viscous and shear sensitive media. Air operated diaphragm pumps made of metal The metal pumps have a pump housing made of aluminum, cast iron or stainless steel. All pumps are available with composite membranes made of PTFE, EPDM or NBR. The material of the valves and seals is coordinated according to the choice of membrane.

With the Drum pump F/FP 425 there is less than 0.05 l residual amount left in a 200 l drum, so maximum 0.02 %. The pump has an integrated backflow valve that is easy to close before taking the pump out of the container. Thus the backflow of the medium in the pump is prevented. This makes optimum use of especially expensive media possible and saves additional cleaning and disposal costs when handling problematic media. The pump is available in stainless steel, polypropylene and hastelloy C. In stainless steel and hastelloy C the pump F/FP 425 can also be used in hazardous areas. The piping system consists of high-grade NiroSan® press fittings with an EPDM (=ethylene propylene dien rubber) moulded sealing ring and NiroSan® stainless steel system pipes according to EN 10312. All NiroSan® press fittings are made from the premium stainless steel type 1.4404 / AISI 316L (for pressing components) and 1.4408 (for precision cast threaded stainless steel components). The material 1.4404 contains at least 2.3 % molybdenum, yet less carbon than the conventional type 1.4401. Thereby these materials are not only of equal value but in addition, material 1.4404 / 316L stands out on account of its considerably higher corrosion resistance.
