Print inspection - Import export

Due to increasing product counterfeiting, many manufacturers are forced to make their products tamper- and counterfeit-proof. Legal requirements exist in some countries for this purpose. We have developed our HSS model series for this task. The system allows printing and inspection of pharmaceutical folding boxes on one and/or both sides and thus fulfills all requirements for product serialization. During development, great attention was paid to protecting the packaging as well as the format range of the products to be processed. In the basic version, folding cartons with format widths (in running direction) of 50-250 mm can be serialized at an output of up to 350 folding cartons per minute.

To serialize vials and other cylindrical products, we rely on the proven quality and reliability of our labelers. In order to achieve the best possible grading of the serialisation barcodes, we integrate thermal transfer printer or marking laser units directly on the label applicator. The vision system immediately inspects the print data after the printing process. If the inspection shows a negative result, we optionally offer a label reject station which automatically removes the label from the process and therefore does not waste a „good product“. Both the vision system and the print engine are fully integrated in the touch panel HMI. Shift registers in the label applicator as well as in the complete system enable product and label tracking through the complete system.

The LSS-PV model was developed to serialize small product batches cost-effectively and according to the requirements of country-specific FMD guidelines. The products are fed manually. A transport system with product carriers guarantees a precise and continuously accurate alignment of the products. After the printing process performed by a thermal inkjet printing system (TIJ), the print data is inspected. If the inspection result is positive, the products are either collected on the collection table at the outfeed of the system or glide over an optionally available transfer plate into an outer shipping case. Defective products are reliably separated from the GOOD products by the product reject station. This process is verified twice in the PLC.

The system is used for labelling or printing flat products such as postcards, flat folding boxes, mailing bags or textile blanks, regardless of the format. The products are fed into the loading chute by the operator and are then destacked layer by layer from below and fed past the labeling or printing or inspection unit. The finished products are then collected in an exit chute or a collection box. This system was developed for a capacity range of up to 100 products/min. For processing higher numbers of products/min, the HSF model series is available which, in addition to a longer conveying distance for setting up different stations also provides the option of a product ejector to automatically remove NIO products from the process and collect them in a separate collection box. The tool-free adjustment enables the shortest changeover times for batch/product changes.

This powerful HSF friction feeder is the optimal solution when empty folding boxes have to be marked with variable data offline from the production line. The modular design of the system enables an easy integration of the desired marking technology. The HSF separates the folding boxes from the stack in the infeed magazine. The cartons are guided to the printing station by two parallel running belt conveyors. Print information could be e.g. serialisation data in the form of bar codes or data matrix codes and text. Depending on requirements, thermal inkjet, laser coders or label print- and apply systems can be used (also in combination). The printed data is inspected and verified by an integrated vision system. The b+b Linemanager recognized all 21CFR Part 11 data for each serial number and is able to report this back to the Siteserver system (e.g. b+b Siteserver).

The MLD1200 V2.0-DS is an offline dual AOI system for the inspection of assembled printed circuit boards from both sides at the same time. It has two multi-LED illuminated image scanners as well as our patented parallax-free lenses. It includes modus control units with the latest modus software. An optional Trolley is available. Characteristics: Dual system for double-sided simultaneous inspection for both sides of printed circuit boards. Combination of different inspection tasks such as SMD placement, THT solder joints, conformal coating and full screening for solder beads (solder balls). Capture of any number of barcodes and data-matrix codes on the multi PCB. Shows the test result of both sides at once. Scan range 300 x 400 mm

The MLD1200 V2.0-OS is a single-sided offline AOI system for the inspection of assembled printed circuit boards from the top. It has one multi-LED illuminated image scanner as well as our patented parallax-free lenses. It includes a modus control unit with the latest modus software. An optional trolley is available. Characteristics: Single system for inspection printed circuit boards from the top side. Combination of different inspection tasks such as SMD placement, THT solder joints, conformal coating and full screening for solder beads (solder balls). Capture of any number of barcodes and data-matrix codes on the multi PCB. Scan range 300 x 400 mm

The AOI system is designed for simultaneous inspection of printed circuit boards top and bottom side. It has two multi-LED illuminated scan units with parallax free view. Those systems are also available for single side as for top or bottom view. The system includes complete set of modus control units. The transport module has a length of 1200mm (47.2 in). Characteristics: Double System for dual side simultaneous inspection for printed circuit boards. Simultaneous display of all results of double side inspection. Combination of different inspection tasks such as SMD placement, THT solder joints, conformal coating and full screening for solder beads.
