The BTS 8101.EO O-frame is based on the combisensor principle. The system is equipped with a non-contact capacitive sensors and a Thrubeam sensor which are integrated in a traversing frame. The eddy current sensor measures the reference distance to the measurement roll‘s metal surface. The distance from the film surface is measured by the Thrubeam sensor. Together with the reference signal the film thickness is calculated. This combisensor principle allows extreme precise measurements.

Rollers with a diameter of less than 75 mm are called contact rollers. They are equipped with a metal core flush on both sides and either covered with para rubber or Vulkollan®. The hardness of the coating is usually approx. 60º Shore, but other hardnesses are also possible. The coating of the contact rollers can, for example, be provided with grooves on request. The contaminated cutting fluid is introduced into the dirt tank (E) of the folding belt filter system through the lifting stations. The internal processing of the system consists of two steps: “Filtration” and “Regeneration.”

With the ring rolling mill Siempelkamp completes its range of products for the manufacture of rings. From forging the pre-forms to manufacturing the ring blanks to ring rolling, we supply everything from a single source. Siempelkamp’s ring rolling mill manufactures seamless rings made of steel and special materials such as nickel-base, titanium, or aluminium alloys using maximum radial and axial pressing forces. The radial pressing force is hydraulically generated and applied to the part via a mandrel roll. Radial rolling is carried out by reducing the roll gap between the driven external roller and the mandrel roll. The axial pressing force is also hydraulically generated and applied to the part via the upper axial roller. Axial rolling is carried out by means of the vertical forward feed of the upper axial roller. A centring device provides for the correct position of the ring during the rolling process.
