High-resolution encoder MSA213C for drive technology The requirements for sensors used for position detection in automation and drive technology increase with the complexity and performance of the associated machines and systems. A new MSA213C high-resolution absolute sensor from SIKO is a perfect solution. It not only supplies the absolute position at any time without referencing and without requiring a backup battery, but thanks to its small design and many different interfaces, it can also be integrated into the system and control environment with very little effort.

In the field there is a frequent need to measure sensor readings rapidly and easily right at the sensor and to transfer them directly to a PC without additional amplifiers or converters. The 9206 USB sensor interface can satisfy this requirement admirably, thanks to its „plug & measure“ design. The USB connection means installation could not be simpler. Typical applications: —Mobile test measurements via laptop —Laboratory test set-ups —Instrumentation and control —Diagnostic measurements in the chemical industry —PC-based recording of expansion figures in bio engineering The USB sensor interface takes its supply from the connected PC via the USB port, and uses it to generate the power supply for the sensors. The initial settings and sensor settings are made by burster in-house and saved in the USB sensor interface. These can then be fine-tuned by the customer.

The IMX12-CCM (Cabinet Condition Monitoring) can be installed in virtually any cabinet or any protective enclosure to ontinuously check the current protection degree there - even retrospectively. The DIN rail device notifies with a switching signal improperly closed doors, as well as exceedances of temperature and interior humidity, to the control system.

Our wireless SureCross system enables simple and fast transmission of process data from the field to higher level control systems. In both versions, DX70 for simple cable replacement as well as in DX80 for a complex network, gateways communicate through radio signals with the nodes in the field and transfer the signals of the field devices to the controller.

The modules of the IMSP series are connected before the interface devices and provide reliable protection against voltage surges. The only 6.2 mm wide DIN rail devices are IP20 rated and can be used in the Ex and non-Ex area. Among other things, modules are available for surge-protected connection of analog signals (e.g. for analog signal isolators and temperature measuring amplifiers) as well as for connecting binary signals from switches or inductive and capacitive sensors.

The BL ident® interfaces are obtainable as a set together with the gateway and one to four RFID modules in IP20 or IP67. Also available are interfaces for connection to PROFIBUS-DP, EtherNet/IP™, Modbus TCP, DeviceNet™, PROFINET, CANopen und EtherCAT®. A maximum of 16 parallel operating channels are possible. The capaNCDT DT61x0/IP is an industrial-grade, capacitive sensor system for displacement, distance and position measurements. Consisting of a sensor, a sensor cable and a controller, the measuring system is ready for use without any on-site calibration. The IF2001/USB interface module converts the digital RS422 signals of a laser optical sensor into a USB data packet. For this purpose, the sensor is connected to the RS422 interface of the module. The converter loops through further signals and features such as laser on/off, switch signals and function output. The connected sensors and the converter can be programmed through software.

The IF2035 interface modules are designed for easy connection of Micro-Epsilon sensors to Industrial Ethernet controllers, e.g., plant control systems. The PROFINET and EthernetIP modules are compatible with sensors that output data via an RS422 or RS485 interface. These modules operate on the sensor side with up to 4 MBaud and have two network connections for different network topologies. Installation in switching cabinets is via a DIN rail.

The IF2008/ETH interface module is designed for multi-channel applications. This module allows for up to 8 Micro-Epsilon sensors or encoders with RS422 interface to be integrated into an Ethernet network. Furthermore, the converter offers 4 programmable switching inputs/outputs (TTL and HTL logic) as well as 10 indicator LEDs, which show the channel or device status directly on the device. Parameter setting of the interface module can be easily done via the web interface.

The IF2008/PCI interface card is designed for installation in PCs and enables the synchronous capture of digital sensor signals and encoders. The IF2008/PCIE interface card is developed for installation in PCs with PCI Express slots. Absolutely synchronous data acquisition plays an important role particularly for planarity or thickness measurement tasks. The interface card enables the synchronous capture of four digital sensor signals and two encoders. The data are stored in a FIFO memory in order to enable resource-saving processing in the PC in blocks.
