Perfect closing - clamping machines for the APG technology from HÜBERS. HÜBERS' automatic clamping machines permit the productivity advantages of APG systems to be fully realized. The whole system as well as the mould are easily accessible. They can be tilted and rotated around various axes. This enables the moulds to be inserted by automatic lifting devices.

We accompany you with our design and development from the idea to series production! We process all common thermoplastics for you. Besides polyurethane, these are mainly: PE (polyethylene), PA (polyamide), PP (polypropylene), POM, ASA, TPU, PP, TPE as well as glass fiber reinforced plastics. Advantages of the injection molding process are low unit costs with high batch sizes. Before an injection mold is ordered, we build view samples for you as laser-sintered elements or by means of 3D printing. In this way, the desired part can already be viewed without having to spend a lot of money. Our machines inject molded parts from 5 to 6000 grams.

THE BENEFITS OF TWO WORLDS Series components made of metal with complex shapes are usually very time-consuming and expensive to put into production -- but luckily there is now a superior alternative for these kinds of demanding workpieces in the form of MIM technology from Zimmer Group! The MIM process allows us to manufacture metal parts of almost any shape using an injection molding process, as easily as though it were plastic! This process lets us elegantly combine the geometrical freedom of plastic injection molding with the outstanding rigidity and wear characteristics of metals. The result is a thoroughly impressive technology for manufacturing metallic series production components with complex shapes -- and at very attractive prices, too!

ALWA HT RESIN is a resin-based on isocyanate and epoxy (EP), which reacts after adding a catalyst. ALWA HT RESIN offers a range of possibilities for producers of fibre-reinforced materials (e.g., glass fibre, kevlar and carbon), semi-finished and finished goods. The system is also suitable for prepreg and reaction compounds. ALWA HT RESIN is particularly interesting for the aerospace and aircraft industry as well for the rail transport, automotive and electronics industry. The application area of epic resins are electro casting resins, lamination and injection technology (RTM procedure), vacuum infusion, casting and ramming compounds, impregnation resin, casting and injection moulding process as well as prepreg technologies, among others. ALWA HT RESIN is offered in two versions. *ALWA HT RESIN M100 with approx. 50 mPa s *ALWA HT RESIN M2200 with approx. 2200 mPa s The resins can be mixed with one another which enables a flexible adjustment of the viscosity.

The importance of additives. Behind the Color Masterbatch, additives are often regarded as “colorless” companion. However, their significance is far more substantial. Additives can have a decisive impact on product manufacturing and product life cycles. Optimise manufacturing processes. In the manufacturing process, additives are important. As required, cavities can be filled more easily, for example, in the injection molding process, parts can be removed from the molds or deposits can be avoided. The profitability of the production process can also be decisively improved: additives can minimize cycle times or reduce processing temperatures. Thus antioxidants, both during the thermal forming process and in the application, enable the resistance of the polymer against destructive temperature

Occasionally also these terms are used for cartridge heates: heating cartridge, insertion heaters, spiral cartridge heaters. As a rule cartridge heaters consist of a cylindrical stainless steel tube and thus provide a high corrosion prevention. There is a heating wire inside which is wound onto a ceramic core. The number of coils varies depending on the power. In order to avoid a short-circuit, the cartridge heater is filled with magnesium oxide and compressed afterwards. Highly compacted they reach a surface watt density of up to 50 W/cm² and withstand highest stress. In the plastics industry cartridge heaters are used in hot runners in order to temper thermoplasts during injection moulding processes. Other areas of applications for process heat are e. g. packaging, diecasting or continuous casting in which zinc or aluminium are processed. Further applications are to be found in mechanical as well as medical and laboratory engineering.

In the area of elastomer technology, the Zimmer Group uses the most modern production processes to manufacture sophisticated workpieces from elastomers. In addition to the transfer molding process, in which the elastomer is placed in a mold, pressed into shape with a die and vulcanized under pressure and heat, we also use the injection transfer molding process. Here, the starting materials are pressed into the mold on an injection molding machine and vulcanize out there. With these two processes, we process a wide range of elastomers such as NBR, silicone, EPDM, FPM or polyurethane. In terms of quantities as well as dimensions, the sky's the limit, because we can manufacture almost any quantity required, from special solutions in quantities of one to medium-sized small batches and large series of more than 10,000 units.

Moulded-In Inserts are placed over core pins by an operator or a pick-and-place robot prior to the closure of the mould cavity during the plastic injection process. Moulded-In Inserts offer exceptional torque and pull-out resistance due to unrestricted plastic flow around the Insert body, and are often the Insert of choice for thermosets and engineered plastics with a high percentage of filler. The minor thread diameter tolerance is controlled to ensure positive positioning and perpendicularity of the Insert on the core pin during the moulding process. Series 63 is symmetrical eliminating orientation and Series 65 is the same body style in a blind ended version. SPIROL's Moulded-In Inserts are made from 2024 aluminium, a light-weight, lead-free grade. SPIROL’s Series 63 and Series 65 Moulded-In Aluminium Inserts are available in thread sizes ranging from M4 (8-32) up to M8 (5/16-18).

The innovative Low Pressure Moulding (LPM) technology offers optimal protection against external influences such as moisture, dust and vibrations, thus ensuring the longevity and reliability of your products. The Low Pressure Moulding process or hotmelt moulding process originated in the sealing of cable harnesses in the automotive industry - today it is used in many areas for the protection of electrical and electronic components. At 5-40 bar (in individual cases up to max. 60 bar), processing takes place at a much lower pressure than in the classic hotmelt injection moulding process. This makes it easy to directly encapsulate even sensitive components such as circuit boards, sensors, etc. The cycle times are limited to pure encapsulation
