Multifunctional filters are used for fine filtration of low-viscosity oils with low levels of contamination. The filter systems can be operated as either precoat filters or edge filters, and conversion between the two modes is easily achievable. This versatile design allows the filter systems to be well-adapted to various filtration tasks. The achievable filtration fineness ranges from 1 to 5 µm. When operating as an edge filter, the filter regeneration process is fully automatic, while the precoat filter version requires manual cleaning. Hinged belt filters, also known as folding belt filters, are used for cleaning contaminated coolant fluids in metal processing and rolling mill applications. The self-locking toggle lever mechanism keeps the chambers closed even in the event of a loss of compressed air.

Chain Magnetic Separator are used for the cleaning of liquids contaminated with magnetizable solid particles and foreign oils. F.E.S. separator systems can be used in full-flow or bypass cleaning applications. The separation performance varies depending on the level of contamination and the volume flow rate. Note: The separator systems can be supplied via a separate supply pump, existing system pumps (with sufficient reserve capacity within the existing system components), or a free inlet (with sufficient geodetic height difference). The achievable filtration fineness is between 1 and 5 µm in NAS 3-7. The filter regeneration and cleaning of the filter discs are done manually. Before filtration can begin, the filter discs (1) need to be swollen with a filter aid (diatomaceous earth, cellulose, perlite). Filtration: After the precoat, the operator manually switches to filtration and directs the filtrate into the clean tank (2). The system pump can now be switched on to supply the processing machine. The achievable filtration fineness is 1 – 5 µm, depending on the filter aid used.
