By comparison, electrophoretic coating is more complex, but it is more advantageous in individual cases. ADP / CDP electrophoretic dip coating Electrophoretic dip coating is a modern, efficient painting method and is used extensively in industry for the coating of metals and metallised plastic surfaces. In the electrolytic coating of components using direct current, distinction is made between cathodic dip painting (CDP) and anodic dip painting (ADP), depending on the polarity. The paint film is deposited onto the object surface from an aqueous paint dispersion by the effect of a DC current. In anodic dip painting (ADP) the article being painted is connected as the anode, while in cathodic dip painting (CDP) it forms the cathode. When current flows, the paint dispersion, which contains the ionically stabilised paint particles, coagulates in the acidic boundary layer (ADP) or alkaline boundary layer (CDP) and forms a paint film, which adheres well and is hard and resistant to corrosion after hardening. Coating colour recycling at paper and cardboard industries During the production of coated paper, it has to be cleaned with water and so, waste water results with pigments of the coating color. Because of their properties, exisiting precipitation plants are working hard on these types of waste waters. Alternatively to precipitation plants, membrane filtration technologies can be used to recover these high-value coating pigments. For that, the water with coating color pigments is circulated through the membrane plant until the required concentration is reached. The permeate is free of particles the CSB value is reduced significantly. It can know be handled by the precipitation plant, which is relief by the removing of the pigments. The concentrate with coating color pigments will be recirculated into the production process. Advantages: Reduction of coating color and pigments consumption Reduction of solid amounts in the waste water, which means reduction of operation costs

Venjakob has combined – for the first time in the industry – a robot with a surface spray painting machine. VEN SPRAY VARIO offers the flexibility of an industrial spray coating robot and the high output of an automatic surface spray coating machine. The outer edges of the parts are precisely coated by the robot, and the surfaces are sprayed "inline" at a constant throughfeed speed without any stopping or stop and go by the spray guns of the downstream linear axis. In comparison to the usual Cartesian robot systems on the market, this leads to an approx. 50 % higher lacquering performance(surface|minute). In addition, the new system technology optimises the surface quality, as it leads to visibly better results by linking the paint film at transitions from surfaces to outer edges. Another decisive system advantage of the VEN SPRAY VARIO is the ongoing guarantee of reproducible production qualities. The perfect finish of 3D workpieces is particularly impressive. For coating complex 3D parts as a stationary batch we recommend using the optionally available paper belt transport system. In addition to the described flexibility, the plant technology can also be used for surface coating only. As an alternative to a manual spraying station a single robot can be used for complex geometries. The technically sophisticated paint recovery system achieves maximum efficiency. The recyclability of the recovered overspray and the considerably reduced use of cleaning agents provide an impressive energy balance. In addition, the efficient ventilation technology noticeably reduces the resulting energy costs. The modular design ensures a safe investment in the long term.
