The ArcuDent tooth coupling is a double-jointed steel coupling. The teeth of the hubs and covers receive shape corrections to allow the highest misalignment capacity. It is a flexible, but nonetheless torsion-resistant coupling. Gear pumps with magnetic coupling The magnetic coupling is equal to contact-free drive and seal. Magnetic coupling pumps are used if critical media has to be transported. The seal ensures that the pumps work 100% securely and without leaking. The magnetic coupling is particularly ideal for hazardous substances that should not escape into the enviroment. The coupling is hermetically sealed and can be designed with different sensors for monitoring and in different variations and materials. A magnetic coupling is used in combination with a chemical pump by default.

TNZ ZCA: Double engagement design with integrated O-ring seal The TSCHAN® TNZ ZCA coupling is a torsionally stiff gear coupling designed to have some backlash and consists of two coupling halves that are connected by fitted bolts. TNZ ZCB: Double engagement design with a bolt-on O-ring carrier for ease of installation Unlike the TNZ ZCA coupling, the TNZ ZCB comes with a bolt-on O-ring carrier which facilitates installation by changing the mounting sequence. For mounting the coupling, unscrew the cover and place it on the shaft. Mount the hub onto the shaft, slide the sleeve onto the hub and fasten the O-ring carrier to the sleeve. This way of mounting is advantageous when large couplings are involved.

The linear movement of a flexible steel cable, which can have a length of up to 2 m, is converted into an angular movement with the aid of a measuring drum. The measuring drum is coupled via a gear to a conductive plastic potentiometer. The restoring force of the spring drive holds the measuring cable tight at all times and prevents any sagging which would otherwise induce an error. The measuring drum moves axially on a spindle ensuring that the cable is wound up precisely and reproducibly wrap for wrap in the helical groove of the drum. The cable entry contains a brush to remove dust.

Gear and Flexible couplings

If the length or angle to be monitored shall additionally be output as a continuous electrical signal, a mounting arrangement of a remote indicating device of the analog or digital type is optional available. They contain in a robust protective casing either a backlash compensated gear or a gear with reduced backlash for matching the input angle with the switching or transducer angle. Each cam unit contains two semicircular disks, which can be adjusted against each other by means of a screwdriver via a worm drive, the switching point position encompassing a switching angle from about 10° up to 350° at maximum, and over 360° of the cam shaft. Sets of break-before-make contacts are used, each comprising one normally-closed and one normally-open contact. For positional back-indication via coupling or gear, one or two angular position transmitters can be operated on the camshaft, optionally with analog or digital output signal.
