Price Forecast EPEX SPOT Day-Ahead Auction (DE/AT Phelix) Our spot price forecast is calculated based on a multilevel and recursive KNN algorithm. The ProCom process starts by using influencing variables, based on the calendar, with the forecast of electricity consumption across Germany. Using this calculation and with consideration for wind and solar forecasts as well as peak and off-peak, we calculate the spot price forecast, accurate to the hour. Other relevant influencing variables include power station availability and fuel prices. An up-to-date price forecast is delivered daily at 5:30 am, 7:30 am, 10:15 am and 1:45 pm. The forecast horizon includes six days.
