Direct-Sensing Replacement Electronically Controlled Viscous Fan Clutch VMaster® DSR (Direct-Sensing Replacement) Viscous Fan Clutches are drop-in replacements for a range of Volvo and Mack heavy-duty linehaul and vocational trucks. These viscous fan clutches give Volvo and Mack fleet managers, vehicle owners and operators in the United States, Canada and Mexico new repair options. VMaster DSR Viscous Fan Clutches provide efficient cooling and respond quickly to engine cooling needs. VMaster DSR fan clutchesare plug-and-play replacements for original equipment fan clutches. Three Sizes for Fully Modulating Performance There are three different fan clutch sizes (diameter and overall length). The larger size provides higher maximum torque capacity, along with increased thermal capacity (heat rejection). This allows fully modulating performance over a wider range of slip conditions and fan speeds. Optimized for Specific Applications Maximum torque for a given fan clutch size is impacted by a combination of fluid viscosity specification and total fluid volume in the working area. Other minor physical design differences also affect performance. Therefore, multiple part numbers are offered for the same size fan clutch. These products are specifically tailored for particular applications. Other aftermarket products might compromise performance, cause fan clutch damage as well as engine over- or undercooling.
