In addition to filtration, compressed-air drying contributes significantly to an increase in process reliability. Humidity in compressed-air systems causes corrosion, and promotes the growth of micro-organisms. In individual cases, condensate emerges at the point of use - an ongoing danger for the operational flow, for example because of failing pneumatic controls, increased wear and tear or because of other disturbances in the production process. With considerably enhanced process reliability, the DRYPOINT dryer technology offers decisive advantages for every field of application. The BEKO TECHNOLOGIES portfolio comprises application-optimised refrigeration, adsorption and membrane dryers for volumes up to 1,500 m³/h. This range of dryers is completed by heat-regenerated EVERDRY adsorption dryers which are designed for large volume flows up to 20,000 m³/h.

SOMOS® RDX attachment dryers are designed for drying small volumes of polymer pellets with throughputs of around 8 to 10 kg/h using in-plant compressed air. They are ProTec's way of providing an economic alternative to conventional drying systems (e.g. adsorption dryers): the compressed air technology used combines perfect drying results with minimal operating costs and virtually maintenance free operation. SOMOS® RDX is available in 38 container sizes of 1 l to 82 l.

Injection moulders for making very small parts are faced with the unique challenge of being able to dry just the right amount of material for their process. Operating in extremely critical production conditions, these smaller throughputs can present considerable problems. It is important to scale the drying to the size of the moulding machine. The LUXOR CA S 0.75 to 5 range of compressed air micro dryers is specifically designed for small material throughputs. The range comprises of a modular line of correctly sized drying equipment to help moulders meet the small tolerances without waste or contamination. These small dryers take factory supplied compressed air which is expanded to atmospheric pressure. This produces dry process air with a very low dew-point which is then heated to the required drying temperature. No desiccant is required.

They can be used anywhere, where top-mounted dryers fail because of weight / or space reasons, and flexibility is required. When changing the setting of task, the components can be combined easily or used for example as top-mounted dryers. The compressed air-based dryers are maintenance-free and provide professional functions such as: plastic-specific and throughput dependent dryer settings, database for plastics, conveying control, week timer, overheating protection, dew point measurement, speed dial programs, personal programs, and many more.

The JETBOXX® mini top-mounted dryers are particularly applicable where small material flow rates with the highest drying precision are required. Due to their compact design, the plastic granulate dryers can be mounted on the feed section of the injection molding machine without any difficulty. The dryers are available with a volume of 0,5/1,0/2,5/5/6/12/18 litres and can be optimally adapted to your requirements with a large number of options from the JETBOXX® system. Compressed air conveyors of one or two components with or without dedusting function are available. Filling by hand is also possible via hinged covers. The compressed air-based dryers are maintenance-free and provide professional functions such as: plastic-specific and throughput dependent dryer settings, database for plastics, conveying control, week timer, overheating protection, dew point measurement, speed dial programs, personal programs, and many more.

Poppe + Potthoff Maschinenbau GmbH supplies compressor units and pressure control systems of up to 400 bar for various gases. We offer ready-to-connect units to increase the existing pressure for pneumatic and hydraulic applications. In this way, the performance of existing systems can be increased flexibly and efficiently.
