Ceramic Insulated (Band) Heaters are predestined for high-temperature applications beyond 450 °C, for example for pipe heating in process heat technology, especially when gases are involved. Ceramic insulated sectional surface heating elements are also brought into action where a heat storage capacity is needed, as in hot plates the case. With the heating surface of ceramic flat heaters being composed by small-limbed ceramic elements with aligned holes in the centre for the resistance coils to be fed through, ceramic sectional heating mats are also applicable for bent or cylindric surfaces. Like Micanite insulated flat heating elements also Ceramic insulated elements can receive a metal sheath. The latter provides additional protection against mechanical load and allows for attaching connection boxes. Another advantage is the easy installation by means of mounting holes in the metal cladding.

"Ball bearings with a material combination of bearing steel (inner and outer rings) and ceramic (balls) are called ‘hybrid’ ball bearings. Heating bands are the ideal solution for the heating of tubes an cylinders. Mica band heaters, frequently used as nozzle heaters, are made with a plastic-tight stainless steel casing. Such mica heating bands are in many dimension available from stock. The Ceramic heating band type is suitable specially for applications with high watt density and therefore for higher temperatures. Ceramic band heaters, also known as ceramic ring heaters or cylindrical ceramic sectional heaters, are attached to the contact surface by means of a clamping mechanism. A preferred field of use for ceramic band heaters is the heating of plasticising cylinders, bushings and nozzles of injection moulding machines and screw barrels of extrusion machines. For thermal optimization and process control ceramic band heaters can also be offered with insulation jackets or air cooling.

The CM-Sensors are specially designed for demanding applications: They withstand high pressures up to 100 bars (and more) at temperatures up to 190 °C. At conventional sensors with a similar size the probe head must be kept free from surrounding conductive objects, in order to avoid pre-attenuation of the measuring system. In contrast, the socket for the CM-sensor does not require additional notches or holes.This feature arises from the utilization of zirconium oxide as housing material and ferritic components with a focusing effect. The CM-sensor is typically applied to monitor the orbit of a turbocharger’s shaft.Its ball bearings have a squeeze film damper to reduce the rotor vibration. In order to optimize the entire system the CM-sensors detect the exact position of the turbine- and compressor wheel under real operating conditions.

Best way is to clean mechanically first (for example, with a wire brush) and then with OKS 2610/OKS 2611 universal cleaning agent. Use a brush, spatula or similar to apply evenly a suitable quantity of paste to the head or nut contact surface and to the thread. The paste also acts as a sealant against spray water and condensate. Do not use paste instead of grease and mix only with suitable lubricants.

AMROC Color-Primed is the product version used for customized finish painting at the construction site. The product AMROC Color-Primed is ideally suited for applying the finished paint coat to the facade at the construction site. The front facing side and edges are primed in RAL 9010 (white) and the rear facing side is finish coated in RAL 7035 (light grey). The finish coat that is applied at the construction site creates vapor diffusion equilibrium between the front and rear facing sides. The factory applied primer does not yet completely seal the front facing side. The finish coat must be a paint-manufacturer-approved paint that is weather proof and alkaline stable. We recommend Amphibolin ELF made by Caparol for this purpose. AMROC Color-Primed is also suitable for: Flooring for wet spaces to be surface treated with ceramic materials, or similar Walls in wet spaces that will be surface treated with ceramic materials.
