One or several TWS take over products or complete load carriers such as pallets in the high-bay shelf storage area. The TRAPO Warehouse Lift (TWL) receives a TWS in order to store and retrieve in the storage lanes via a rail system at different levels. The TWS covers three metres per second at an acceleration rate of 1.5m/s² and completes the cycle of driving out, gripping and driving in in a maximum of three seconds.

Between the shelves of the high-bay storage are corridors in which the TWS function. They are controlled through the lane with the assistance of the TWL in order to load and retrieve products or load carriers at different levels. The SB3 pallet box is available with either closed or perforated walls and bottom and a choice between three runners or nine feet. The exceptionally stable runner or foot connection ensures extreme resistance and the runner version in particular offers secure lift-tilt emptying by a rotating forklift. Additional ribs on the outer walls of the large load carrier provide increased impact protection against forklift tines. The overall seamless construction and the smooth inner surfaces of the SB3 pallet box enable easy emptying and cleaning as well as good drying properties. The peel force is a critical parameter for every user of Tape & Reel. If the peel force is too low, the cover tape will not stick on the carrier tape properly and the components may fall out of the pockets. A too high peel force will cause costly down times at the pick & place machines. The KT 5000 peel force tester from KTECH is the ideal tool to measure the peel force on your production floor. For measuring, a strip of the carrier tape is loaded into the KT 5000 and the cover tape is attached to the sensor. The constant movement of the carrier tape is done with a sprocket wheel. The movement speed is controlled with an encoder. The design of the KT 5000 guarantees the same peel angle and the same peel point during the whole measurement. Before each run, the KT 5000 is doing a selfcalibration of the sensor. The measured values are transferred to a PC via a serial RS232 interface. A green bar on the screen shows a good result, if the measurement is out of limit, the bar is red.

Metzner provides a number of proven automation solutions for the automatic loading and unloading of coating carriers for CVD and PVD coatings. The abbreviations PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) and CVD (Chemical Vapour Deposition) stand for different coating processes. When loading the PVD spears, we differentiate between "single-loading" and "back-to-back loading". In addition to part loading, spacers are loaded onto the spears in addition to the parts. In single-loading, a spacer is located behind each individual insert, whereas in back-to-back-loading, two inserts are placed "back to back" and only then is a spacer loaded. To implement "back-to-back-loading", a turning station is integrated into the machinery. The Overfill Prevention Controller EUS-2 is the central part of the overfill prevention system according to European VOC Directive 94/63/EC and American API RP 1004. EUS-2 monitors the level sensors at the tanker compartments, the truck grounding and the vapor recovery connection. The filling process is interrupted immediately at the loading gantry, if a critical situation is detected. The controller is able to detect the type of truck installation and activates the required operatingmode automatically. This interoperability allows to load trucks of different carriers.
