Riga Trans Birch plywood ( Riga Ply) overlaid with a dark brown phenol or a titanium grey amino film on both faces. The wear face film has a special surface pattern (WT), the reverse face being smooth (F). Riga Trans Heavy is overlaid with a special wear resistant dark brown film. Advantages The surface with high wear resistance, with good anti-slip properties, with a pleasant appearance, water proof and resisting against commonly used chemicals. In addition, the product is environmentally friendly and hygienic. Application The specific end-use of Riga Trans is truck and trailer flooring. The other possible applications include: storage and factory floors, storage shelves, loading platforms, pier surfaces, scaffoldings, playgrounds and flight cases. In general – surfaces where high wear resistance, good anti- slip properties and pleasant visual appearance are required. Surface pattern The panels are overlaid with a phenol film and have a special pattern imprinted in hot pressing process. Anti-slip Class in accordance with DIN 51130 R13. The reverse face usually is smooth (F). Advantages Surface with high wear resistance, good anti- slip properties, good visual appearance (decorative surface), weather- and water-proof, resists commonly used chemicals and easy-to-clean. In addition, the product is environmentally friendly and hygienic. Application In transport industry for floors and walls, storage and factory floors, storage shelves, loading platforms, pier surfaces, and scaffoldings. In general - surfaces where high wear resistance and anti-slip properties are required. Surface pattern The panels are overlaid with a film and have a special pattern imprinted in hot pressing process. Anti-slip class in accordance with DIN 51130 R10. The abrasion resistance of Riga Rhomb and Riga Rhomb Heavy is significantly different. Riga Tex Birch plywood ( Riga Ply) overlaid with a phenol film or with UV resistant film on both the faces. The wear face has a rough wire mesh pattern (W); the reverse normally is smooth (F), although it can have wire mesh pattern, too (grade W/W). Riga Tex rough wire mesh overlay withstands hard wear and it can be used for many different floor-panelling purposes. Advantages The wire mesh surface has high wear resistance and anti-slip properties, surface is weather- and water-proof, resists to commonly used chemicals. In addition, the product is environmentally friendly. Applications Vehicle floors, pedestrian bridges, storage and factory floors, storage shelves, loading platforms, ship decks, pier surfaces. In general - applications where high wear resistance and/or good anti-slip properties are required. Overlaying A smooth phenol or UV resistant film, which is hot-pressed onto the surface, is used as an overlay. The phenol film is composed of a basic paper which is impregnated with phenol resin. The UV resistant film is impregnated with special thermosetting mixture of polymers containing amino resins. On special request, panels can be overlaid with wear resistant phenol film or/and multi-layer phenol film and both the faces can have a wire mesh pattern.
