The HONSEL RIVET NUT "headless" can be used in existing and new applications. The blind rivet nut can be flush mounted in smooth bores without countersinking. The omission of the "countersink" process of the hole realizes enormous potential for savings. Due to the 0 mm protrusion, components can be mounted without interfering edges or slide over one another without obstruction. The DKRF420 is a transducer for humidity and temperature designed for flush-mounted boxes. Their benefits become evident when used in museums and historic buildings or in pharmaceutical and medical laboratories. The transducer’s electronic components completely immerse into the flush-mounted box (required mounting depth: 30 mm). It is covered by a mounting plate and can be plastered leaving only the small stainless steel probe (d=8 mm, l=20 mm) stick out of the wall.

The Driesen + Kern GmbH DKRF425 probe series for flush-mounting is designed for controls and automation such as in HVAC. The sensors measure tempeature, humidity, CO2 concentration and light intensity. They fit into standard flush-mounted boxes and are compatible to switch product ranges of several manufacturers. This makes them well suited for integration in existing building concepts.
